mancalledsting
So when India were down and out after the first two tests in the recent South Africa series, Siddarth Monga left no stone unturned in his desperate attempt to undermine Virat Kohli's leadership, even going to the extent of accusing Kohli of making false accusations and lacking credibility . "By now we should have trained ourselves to taking Virat Kohli's press conferences with generous dollops of salt. His charges against Steven Smith of systemic manipulation of DRS presently lie in some ICC dustbin." http://www.espncricinfo.com/south-africa-v-india-2018/content/story/1133440.html He also took a further swipe in his systematic dissection of Kohli's batting technique: http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/22056992/virat-kohli-subcontinent-habit-work-south-africa But once India won the 3rd test and delivered phainty in the ODI series he started waxing lyrical about the virtues of Kohli: http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/22360815/virat-kohli-run-addiction-brings-another-high http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/22471647/sidharth-monga-freed-virat-kohli-shows-truly-capable-of Bottom line, this journalist flip flops like a Bata chappll, often bringing in his personal biases and agendas into his reporting. Had to publicise this, so that he knows he can't get away with writing mistruths. sandeep, King Tendulkar, chewy and 3 others 1 5 Link to comment
Khota
I read Indian cricket journalist for humor and humor only. I only liked Akash Chopra and then right before T20 games he started pushing Pant over Dinesh. That moment I realized he is no different. Utter rubbish. Link to comment
Turning_track
Its not the first time & wont be the last of Cricinfo's 'talented' journalists changing goalposts. Read & heard guys like Mukul Kesavan & Jaideep Verma (writer, filmmaker, screenwriter cum journalist) who were much experienced, it left me disappointed . A decade back it was much better, the content was much more refined & thoroughly researched. mancalledsting and putrevus 2 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
When we have players who actually played international cricket flip flops by the minute except when the player is from their own reigion it is not surprising a journalist does the same. Hope you know who i am talking about. mancalledsting 1 Link to comment
rkt.india
I don't see anything wrong. Opinions do change. Players will be criticized when failed and be praised when they do well. Link to comment
Straight Drive
Most journalists and commentators are same. For example, Yuvi hits a sixer. It was full put side the off.Typicall left handers elegance to see, with a nice expansive drive lifting it over extra cover for sixer. He is arguably the best timer and hitter of the ball when in form. Yuvi gets caught behind playing same shot. Result is different. Bowler bowled it nicely by pitching it full out of the off stump. Not a good shot ,he tried to play away from the body and edged it.Should have left it alone. Most commies and journalists react on the basis of result. They will flip flop their opinion on basis of the result.Hardly to they consider the players are not machines, giving same result to every similar delivery. They will make the players look bad but make themselves look good by trying to justify the outcome. G_B_
I once heard Monga speak I suspect he uses a good english editor to get his articles published. His spoken english was rubbish Gollum, Peshust and mancalledsting 2 1 Link to comment
Gollum
Pity the chaps who still read crapinfo articles....migrate to cricbuzz folks, if they don't respect us let us go swadeshi. In kutton ko zyaada bhaav mat do, bina India ke saale bhadwe 2 mahinon ke andar humaari * chaatne lagenge. The only redeeming feature in that godforsaken website is statsguru, baaki sab bekaar hai. mancalledsting and DHONI_FANN 2 Link to comment
Gollum
Crapinfo experts line up (India related): Monga, Sambit Bal, Mukul Kesavan LOL, Ugra...kabhi kabhi toh Ramchandra Hagu ka bhi bakwaas daal dete hai. I question the sanity of Indians who would waste their precious time putting up with this level of drivel. 90% of ICF posters will have better insights on Indian cricket than this lot. adi B 1 Link to comment
