The points table looks so symmetric with the fact that for every team, there is another team with flipped W/L ratio.

It is now race for the 4th spot.. SRH, KKR looking strong. MI will also make it to Playoffs.

RR will whimper away with Dhawal and Unadkat;

Chennai has an upper edge for now but it is going to be a close battle among RCB, DD, KXI & CSK

Really don't see either of them get there....

One out of KXIP and CSK will surely make it to the playoffs..

Did we observe again that after 25th April, 2018 match, all teams played 6 matches each and the flipped W/L ratio still remains in effect. Every team has a pair team with flipped W/L ration. Amazing again!!!

Isn't that a given?

If Team A wins vs Team B, then it is a 1-0 for team A and 0-1 for Team B.

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to state here.

Yes, that's true with a bilateral series and not with even a 3-teamed tournament let alone 8-team one.

Take a 3-team tournament where three teams team A, team B and team C play against each other.

team A wins over team B  (1-0 for team A and 0-1 for team B)

team C wins over team A (1-0 still for team A and 1-0 for team C)

team B wins over team C (1-0 for team B and 1-0 still for team C)

So every team has 1-0 W/L ratio and there is no team with flipped W/L ratio (i.e. 0-1).

All three teams are performing equally well in that case

Whereas... in this IPL, we observe that for every good performing team, there is an another team which is performing equally bad.

This is somewhat surprising since all the teams are supposed to start equal on paper. Hope you got the point of my post!
