Unko dekh ke to aisa hi lagta hai bhai ke they are satisfied with stars playing in their team regardless of result. One less in Gayle makes no difference to the brand value.

Immense amount of support from fans despite not winning anything. That says there is no accountability wrt performance/leadership.

but stars hai kahan except kohli and abdv.

Its ok, lets just move on with Kohli the captain. Give AB a shot while he is there. So far it looks like RCB is content with playing superstar XI and raking in moolah without any accountability. Been like this for years now.

not much of diff between him n kohli as captain

The best guy to captain among their squad is bmac who doesnt warrant a place in team.  They shud look for indian middle order batsman option, guess what hanuma n unmukt were avl and were unsold . Kohli has a hard time trusting new players .....m sure kulwant wud have been highly backed by nehra .

Thats why kohli went to karthik, watson, yuvraj in previous season .........

would have loved to see transformed Vihari bat this season or even Manoj Tiwari would have done.  Sarfaraz ki poor form has hurt them big time.  Sarfaraz was someone who could play those unorthodox shots, clear ropes easily and score 25-30 ball 50s. but he is seriously out of touch.

Maybe not this year... only few of them left...but cannot deny RCB has been a starstudden team all these years. Its just that they are not able to come together and win matches as a team.

AB and Kohli are considered the top 2 batsman of their era, imagine Sachin and Lara playing together in 90s. But I dunno whether they are held accountable for the results as much as they are revered. That is something that is missing from RCB compared to others.

They have to reach playoffs at the least this year or else Kohli needs to go.

Where is Southee. Heard he has not yet reached India?

If RCB is going to take CDG instead of Corey, they can replace Woakes with Southee even though Woakes

has many wickets (also leaked lot of runs)

Sunder, QDK, Vrat, ABD, Mandeep, CDG, Negi, Southee, Chahal, Umesh, Siraj

Even if you give a team of 11 stars he will still mess this up.  The guy is just clueless.

Moeen

Mandeep

virat

Sarfaraz

AB

Anderson

This is a simple fix for this lineup and I can bet they will win twice the number of matches virats  playing 11 can.

The way Dhoni and Virat have handled Watson way batting position is very different. No wonder Watto is batting like one of the best batsman this season.

Problem is, they had KL and Gayle too. Plus the pitch was slow paced last season. Don’t think Twatson would have fired at the top.

I feel they were ruined by Starc. They bought him originally expecting him to spearhead their attack, but every year he was either injured or skipped to IPL to prepare for Tests. He is/was one of the best yorker bowlers in the world. He was supposed to save their death bowling. They never invested in another true death bowler.

They have some decent bowlers like Umya and Chahal, but noone who can carry the burden of the death overs. Every team needs to play at least 1 specialist bowler who is specialized for the death overs.

The problem is there is a shortage of good death over bowlers. The IPL teams need to invest in buying Indian bowlers n the auction and using their bowling coaches to develop them over a few seasons, then retain them at auction. That's the only way every team can have a good death bowler.

RCBs problem was never bowling,  bit their batting . They have never invested on young talents.  Except for virat  no Indian player has been persisted .

I agree that they don't have many good Indian batsmen, but even when they do they let them go, cough KL RAhul cough, but I think they are always chasing big totals, so it makes their batsmen look worse. If you are chasing 200 every match, you are bound to lose more often than not.

I think they bowl well for most of the match, but loose their heads at the death portions, when a in control total becomes huge.

Kohli shud resign as captain next season, or else RCB shud forget dreaming about winning IPL

Dnt knw a single captain in IPL who kept his captaincy despite being such a poor captain for years

If kohli-vettori hasnt been able to address their teams issues which have remain same despite having auction every year well they shud try a new coach-captain combo
