Both teams at the bottom of the points table. 3 losses out of 4. Two of the most frustrating teams for their fans year on year. A loss in this game  and it would be almost impossible to compete in the tournament.

Quote

From Cricinfo preview ..

On the batting front, Daredevils have done okay, barring a disappointing chase against Kolkata Knight Riders, and by and large have their best line-up sorted out. Not so in RCB's case: how else would you explain Virat Kohli playing for net run rate as soon as his team was two down in a big chase against Mumbai Indians?

RCB will need to find a way to distribute Quinton de Kock, Kohli and AB de Villiers effectively through their batting order, determine how to make the best of a not-too-convincing second line of Indian batsmen, and figure out who among Brendon McCullum, Corey Anderson, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee and Moeen Ali will most effectively plug whichever hole remains after attending to the first two tasks.

DD doesn't really need to change their personnel or batting order much, they just have to play better.

Likely XI: 1 Gautam Gambhir (capt), 2 Jason Roy, 3 Shreyas Iyer, 4 Rishabh Pant (wk), 5 Glenn Maxwell, 6 Vijay Shankar, 7 Chris Morris, 8 Rahul Tewatia, 9 Mohammed Shami, 10 Shahbaz Nadeem, 11 Trent Boult

RCB must change their game plan for sure, their batting order and a player or two. Not sure if bowling can be improved a great deal by selections, but middle order surely can be and must be strengthened. QDK, Virat and AB should not bat at 1,2,3.

This is a combination worth trying ...

Both teams can't afford a loss at this point. Unfortunately, one team will most likely go down the rabbit hole after this game.

I wish today these teams played the ones in the top 4 in the table, and won their games. Would make the tournament more closer and interesting to watch. It's awful if a couple of teams lose most of their first 5-6 games and pretty much out of it so early in the tournament.

If RCB bat first they have to score 210+ so that the weak bowling lineup have a nice cushion. If DD bat first they would have to ensure 200+ as well. Two weak bowling attacks. Another run fest like the other match?

RCB is looking a little better with that one change and the batting order. Sarfaraz out, Manan Vohra in and opening.

Not sure about Anderson ahead of Grandhomme. Anderson hasn't played in the last 6 months and Grandhomme has been in pretty good form in all formats for NZ.

Still feel it may be better if W Sundar could open and lengthen the batting order with Mandeep at #7, especially while chasing. Prefer ABDV at #5 and take the responsibility of finishing the innings.

Umesh has become a good new ball bowler nowadays because he bowls with more control and we know how good he is with the old ball in tests .India need a partner with bhuvi for new ball in tests ,shami is wasteful and bumrah is a rookie in tests

Yes Grandhomme should have been picked. He is in form and has been playing cricket. Anderson has comeback after injury and is still rusty.
