Why not?? Considering the fact that tailender was on one  end, he would have hardly picked mujeeb, also 17 runs are enough to defend unless you are a Vinni kumar

Mujeeb is still youngster , Even Ajmal was unable to defend 18 in T20 SF 2010 .against good teams these moves can proove to be costly

If  two set batsman's were batting, then yes this would have been a bad move, but since it was mishra on the other end  ashwin took this risk, and it Worked as iyr denied mishra a strike wasting some crucial balls.

Actually Dhoni had no option Misbah was hitting Bhajji very well.so he has to go with Joginder Sharma

Iyer wasn't in great touch and struggling to hit against the spinners. Had the required runs been under 15, I would have criticised it too but 17 is a defendable total even if you are inexperienced.

Muzib only bowled one bad ball which went for a six. Rest were pretty good.

when you win, it's great captaincy otherwise you're put to the sword.

ashwin had no other option but to bowl mujeeb in the last over considering sran bowled the 19th over. if sran had given a few more runs..it wouldn't have mattered as the cushion solely depended on tye and sran's previous overs.

If there was a boundary in Bran's 19th over (instead of one of the dots), the required runs will be 14, and Mujeeb would have still bowled the 20th over as nobody else has overs left. Any other part timer would be more risky than Mujeeb as no parttimer would have bowled phaast!

Simply speaking, he was lucky today with the 20th over but then congrats for winning it!

History has clear prooves that last over to spinner is very dangerous move

This is what happened when Ashwin bowled last over

Ashwin took a dangerous bet today and it came off.

Mujeeb isn't exactly peak level pre ban Narine who was almost unhittable.

What if Barindar got gone for 10 runs? Doubt Mujeeb would hav defended that but the other way round was atleast possible.

Hope todays win doesn't make him think this will work regularly.

Wont work with power hitters.

Even today, if Iyer had connected the first ball properly, it would hav been a six.

Last delivery wasn't super unhittable either.

Today was his day. He's a damn good captain but as long as he doesn't get over confident, kings xi will be fine.
