How in the world did Jadeja represent us in 4 T20 World Cups?

Recommended Posts

This guy can neither bowl or bat properly in T20 cricket, he sucks badly in both departments! What does Dhoni see in him that others can’t?

How did he manage to get such a long rope in our T20 side? I still remember him single handedly knocking us out of both the 09’ & 10’ editions!

Even in the IPL, I don’t think he has ever won a man of the match award ever in his life. He is definitely one of the worst performers this season!

Irony is he is most useful in the least expected format which is Tests.  He was sticking around due to his fielding. We have Kuldeep, Chahal and lots of wrist spinners ready to take over. Finger spinners like Ash/Jaddu can leave way for that. Wrist spinners are the hardest to go after as you can see in this IPL and previous IPLs

Ashwin the white ball bowler gets a lot of flak but he was very good initially, had 2 great WCs, 2 great WT20s and a great CT. Jaddu has somehow fooled the public about his abilities...serious liability. Even in 2017 CT F he was way worse than Ashwin but somehow luckily escaped intense scrutiny. Also a prominent selfish trait which has manifested itself in many important limited overs matches. I like only Jaddu the test specialist and want him to be in the scheme of things in that format for another 5 years.

He is a failed Ranji Trophy batsman who can turn his arm over in test matches on a turner .

Like Pandya he played so long in all formats because he was a pin up boy for TV commercials , advertising , not much real talent but pretty good fielder .

As they say , all that glitters is not gold .....I think Jadeja and Pandya are prime examples of that

Project Jadeja, the allrounder has always been a failure. When I used to point this out people would say Champions trophy, test ranking no 1. Idiots, if someone gets that many chances for years then he is bound to have some good series. As far as bowling in tests is concerned both Ashwin and Jadeja make merry on helpful pitches.

In test cricket these 2 are the greatest spin duo of the modern era.

Rules in ODIs with 5 out-fielders in the middle-overs meant finger spinners like Jadeja could tie things down quite effectively.  The rule change to 4 outfielders around 2015 or so, has defanged finger spinners.

Jadeja was never an allrounder, he was just a economical bowler who gave you the bonus of saving 10-20 runs in the field.
