Lol, typical hindsight by our keyboard warriors. BJP did all it could, and rightly celebrated on what was seen as a big victory. Didn't work out due to dynastic politics where two parties came together to save their sons respectively.

It is a win for the BJP either way. JD(S)-INC alliance will not last long as there will be clash of vote banks.

Wrong. India is full of unholy alliances. Starting with Muslim-Christanity, and latest is the Yadav-Dalit with SP/BSP.  This alliance is based on nepotism, so it works well for both sides. And they only need to carry it till 2019LS, afterwards it's not relevant. BJP will lose a lot of seats against this alliance in LS.

Why cant BJP unite with Others and form the govt? C'mmon it will be a farce if for couple of seats...people's choice cant form the government. Where is Amit Shah? He should be in Bangalore now

Only 2 independents won election, there are no others. Those 2 already announced support to Congress

Important lesson for BJP dolts distributing sweets, please stop premature ejaculation and like cricket, game is not over until the last vote is counted. Entire ecosystem is against BJP, they have to be ruthless and focused.Unless they get absolute majority there's no saying what will happen. I fear a huge anti BJP coalition in 2019, BJP better start compromising with regional parties. BJP must offer generous terms to JDS and keep them invested till 2019.

The people of south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh are dead against BJP since they believe BJP has backstabbed them by backing on several promises, the most important being, according special status to it. Looks like BJP will definitely face the heat at least in that state.

BJP will find it difficult in 4 South Indian states. Won't be surprised if they face a rout in Kerala, TN, AP, Tel in 2019.

These unholy alliances only work when in opposition or when trying to form govt. Most times they tend to break prematurely once in power. Mahaghatbandhan, Janata Party in 1977, VP Singh govt., Bihar election 2105...one can go on.

And no, BJP will not lose seats against them in LS.

Even Congress has money. It’s difficult for BJP now at 104.

The Cong-JD alliance already has support of 2 Independent MLAs. Total 118.

The remaining 2 seats where the elections postponed will now go to JD (S). Total 120.

Karnataka is as good as gone for BJP unless it trains to play dirty and splits Siddaramaiah faction from Congress. But it’s a tall order now.

Not just money, there are other factors in work here.
This type of post poll alliances , especially the ones with Congress , doesn't tend to last long.
Even if Congress manages to form the government , BJP will manage to poach the required number of MLAs from the ruling government and come back to power.

JDS have ideological differences with BJP so a straight up post-poll alliance is less profitable to either party than luring dissident MLAs from ruling parties.

Congress and JDS have their own inter-factional wars and it's only gonna intensify if they manage to form the government.

Then BJP will poach these MLAs and end up ruling the state.
Usually these dissident MLAs are loyal to the ruling party due to power issues.
They know they have to adjust to be the MLA of the ruling party.

Dirty game and Amit Shah are synonymous

And so it begins
i guess these 15 MLAs are waiting for the RTGS to be processed by Amit Shah, unless Sonia can offer more
Sonia won't be able to -especially when Shah is there.
Uparse Modi is no Vajpayee to lose the game.
