Pointless trundler...please don’t ever bring him up in the scheme of things...cannon fodder bowler

even Kaul went for 51 in 3 overs against DD, could have ended up 60 plus had he bowled 4th. To be honest, Thampi has regressed since last year.

Aren't there better batsman/finishers in domestic cricket than Sarfaraz. This hack played those ramp shots again and was really lucky. I cannot believe how dumb and retarded these franchise scouts  management are. Or is it that there are no finishers?

Loved the way ABD, Moeen, CDG and Sarfraz tonked him. Sarfraz in particular treated him like spinner playing the scoop shot very easily twice. Brilliant innovation.

Also impressive was the way RCB identified him as the weakest bowler in the attack and launched him into stands ball after ball to score 70 runs of his 4 overs without giving him a wicket. Worst IPL spell ever in IPL history.

Another bowler, whose strength was the yorker,  is being coaxed to try lots of slower balls as per new theory.

We saw Siraj suffer in T20Is due to this. Nehra has mentored him well in this IPL and he is now bowling with a clearer mind with high % of faster balls which is his strength.  Same with Umesh.

If coaches want seamers whose USP is slower balls and variations then only those seamers should be selected.

Young pacers should be allowed to bowl with a clear mind and bowl to their strengths ...  like Nehra is encouraging to do.

What were Thampi's speeds today?
