T20s can't really conclude because the Indian never played the format in his peak years, still will give it to the Saffer. Overall I don't think ABDV is even better than Sanga/KP...Sachin toh un donon ka bhi baap hai. Leaving aside the ability on the field, admire the mental toughness of SRT who played for 24 years amidst intense public scrutiny. Did ABDV even manage half that time? For that matter among contemporaries even Kallis, Sanga (to a lesser extent) are worthy rivals. But the trolls here even bring in the likes of Dhoni, Cook, Kohli/Smith (both awesome atm but can enter the discussion only after 4-5 more years), Dravid, Viru, ABDV etc to take potshots at SRT. ABDV will be picked by most in their 11 for crunch time, he can do unbelievable shots and fielding on the cricketing field. So Batting - Marginally ABDV Fielding - Definitely AB Overall - ABDV better value player. top thread OP> but better to compare AB with Kohli or Ponting/kallis etc who won lots of games for their Team. rtmohanlal Posted May 23, 2018 Share Posted May 23, 2018 For some body to have scored 13500+ RUNS @ 59.35 avg: against far tougher bowling units amidst much higher pressure of expectations to get compared with another who avg:es just 50+ with only 8750 runs In one dayers too, who has a phase of 249 inns where he avg:Ed 49 at 89 str: rate in those far difficult 90s which would easily worth 54+ avg: & some 94+ str: rate of now a days .Add to that the far larger number of impact inns amidst much higher pressure in general Sachin played.
