For his talent ABDV should have been competing with SRT-Lara but sadly mental toughness, courage and responsibility were never his forte.  Talented yet underachieving player who is grossly over rated, he is cricket's version of McEnroe minus the nasty temper tantrums and charisma.

What I find incredible about his ODI SR is that in the last 10 years, it has been higher than even the likes of Kohli and Dhawan who have been pretty much in their prime. I expected it to be higher than the SR of dot ball merchants and consolidators like Rohit/Dhoni/Rahane but was surprised to find it ahead of even Kohli. Truly amazing .

Sachin ofcourse played for so long..he score more runs for sure. ABDV will be picked by most in their 11 for crunch time, he can do unbelievable shots and fielding on the  cricketing field.

 

So 

 

Batting - Marginally ABDV  

Fielding - Definitely AB

 

Overall - ABDV better value player.

 

top thread OP> but better to compare AB with Kohli or Ponting/kallis etc who won lots of games for their Team. Sachin ofcourse played lots of games scored lots of runs..but yeah.

ABDV is an average attack destroyer in LOIs. His T20Is record says it all, average of 26.

inzi has to be the funniest one though, at least ponting lara and ab were world class and at their peak could have been compared to sachin but that aaloo  kya soch ke adopt kiya tha isko against sachin  phateechar khan thought inzi was a better player of pace than sachin  talk about being clueless
