The root cause was him shuffling across the stumps, something he never did in the past. I wonder which genius came up with that idea (wouldn't put it past bevda)...by doing that he lost his judgement of the off stump. By the time he stopped shuffling (3rd innings Jo'berg) it was already too late. His strength is judgement of off stump and the art of leaving, if he can't do that in England I hope he is kicked out permanently. 1 1 Switchblade and LORD_analyst reacted to this

You cannot compare SA and England pitches. SA pitches are harder and bouncier. Capetown and Wanderers pitches this year were two of the toughest pitches to bat on I have seen in recent times. Most England pitches are slower and lack bounce except Rose Bowl and probably Old Trafford. Pak scored 49 in SA a few years back.

Our idiots would have missed 5 catches and never have attempted the tough ones, hands in pockets types. Today Cook has already dropped a sitter and Eng are paying for that. If we drop 20-25 catches in the 5 tests we will surely lose, that is why Kohli/Dhawan should be away from slips/gully and that waste of sperm Pappu Patel shouldn't be allowed to leave the country the whole year, there should be lookout notices for him in all airports/ports. Phir bhi baaki ke gadhe catch chorenge lekin kaafi kam. its not that cold 16 degrees min, 27 max. it is a good weather to play cricket. On the warmer side and not cooler. MultiB48 1,962 Report post Posted May 26, 2018 (edited) 1 hour ago, rkt.india said: Read that England dropped 5 catches. 97.2 Anderson to Shadab Khan, no run, third drop by Cook at slip. He had it there at first slip. He had it, I'm telling you. Just couldn't cup it and ended up dropping it. Another length ball bouncing with some seam outside off, Shadab Khan dabbled it, getting it off the shoulder of the bat. Doesn't pay for it. Lucky 96.5 Mark Wood to Faheem Ashraf, FOUR, Cook drops another at first slip. Straightening outside off, taking the outside edge and it was slightly wide and right of Cook. But that said, he did have his body weight going the other way, which made the reach to his right just that little bit late. Bairstow didn't go for the catch at all. Was to his left, so maybe. Just rubbernecked the drop and the ball's journey to the fence 70.4 Stokes to Shafiq, no run, back of a length delivery outside off, Shafiq pokes at it outside off, ball bounced a touch extra and Shafiq got a flying outside edge. Buttler dived in the air David de Gea style, flying to his left at gully but that was just too high. Did well to get his fingertips to it really. Palms it towards second slip, where Malan is diving right-handed and it just eludes him. Could have been a great tag-team catch had it carried to Malan 55.1 Anderson to Babar Azam, 2 runs, dropped by Cook at first slip! Babar Azam is a compulsive driver when it's full and Anderson bowled the perfect delivery to draw an error from him. It was pitched up and veered away touch to catch the edge and it flew to the right of slip where Cook went with one hand and spilled. A slightly tough one, but by Cook's standards it should have been taken 18.6 Mark Wood to Haris Sohail, no run, first drop of the day. Haris Sohail was squared up completely by the good length ball at the stumps. He got a leading edge as he was trying to flick....and the ball was going straight to Malan at second slip, but Stokes dived to his right and looked to grab it one-handed. It didn't stick unfortunately. It was always a second slip's catch and Stokes should have left that alone to Malan Edited May 26, 2018 by MultiB48 1 express bowling reacted to this
