Why so much hate for Sachin Rasgulla bhai? The guy is a legend and carried the weight of the Indian team during the 90’s era sure he should have retired after 2011 high but he is an all time great. At times hard to understand why this forum is more like Sachin vs Dhoni should be about India than a player.

You are trying to reason with him??? Sure I am laughing at you right now for trying and probably so is rasgulla

Just want to know why its like Anti Msd and Anti Sachin ever since Ipl started it has been like this already said that Dhoni should retire frim t20 format from international level and last year Ct 2017 should have been his last game but no point dropping him now as Wc is just next year all we can hope is that he does well.

Anti MSD because MSD sucks these days and is over the hill for atleast 5 years running now and maybe more in T20s...should retire....isn’t that obvious?

Now coming to Sachin everyone felt he should retire around 2011-2012 after the WC and was duly criticized for that 1 year. He overstayed for what only 15 months? But since that is done most cricket lovers and 99% of Indians  adore what he did for us and this game.

sure when Dhoni retires we will celebrate how good he was from 2005 to 2011

He framed jadega and azar using his midget gang influence and escaped that fixing scandal. Biggest cheat in the history of cricket where he was caught ball tampering. Virat is now showing the world how to score 100s in the right way and win matches for India. :phehe:

Abba dabba jabba lol

Sachin should have retired after the WC. He went on for 2.5 years not 15 months. Moreover he was a selfish cricketer who always batted at no.4 in tests and opened in ODIs which is the easiest for any player. When GG got injured in the test series in England, Rahul had to open and Sachin would not move to no.3. Laxman was asked to move and he failed. Rahul had opened throughout and after he carried the bat in one of the innings, he had to come back again to open following on. A request was made to Scahin to give him some rest but as usual Mr.Royalty denied. He was pretty much done by this point but hung on for a stupid stat 100 centuries and 200 test matches. He had exceptional talent but he was selfish. Dhoni is entering this category now. Hopefully he should stay out of T20Is and focus on the WC 19. Hero worship is a huge problem in India.

Agreed on 2 points hero worship is a problem and Sachin hung on for the 100 100s maybe due to media pressure or his own selfishness is subjective.

Sachin should have retired from ODIs after 2011 WC without a doubt but it was obvious he was a must for the overseas tours of Eng and Aus that followed.

Had he got the 100th 100 in England he would have retired by then or atleast in Australia where he was really respected.

He did not play the Odis in England or even the entire series against WI after WC because the goal was test cricket ..guys like Raina,Kohli,Rohit,Rahane,Dhawan,Mukund,Vijayall got a shot to make a mark.

It makes a beautiful story to say SRT should have retired entirely after 2011 WC but the plan was to retire from tests after SA 2013.

Just that his own form and that stupid 100 100th put a dent in those plans.
