Comparing Football coaches with Shastri

I look at that piece fo fat shastri and cringe how the heck he got the job. Look at Korean and Mexican coaches how healthy they look and how involved they are. I bet they are paid less too. There should be a relaxed Yo Yo test for Shastri too. How did he get the job?

There are plenty of fat coaches in NFL, one of the most richest and athletic leagues in the world.

Shastri is the best coach these guys can manage to hold on to without pakistan style drama. Indian players of today have even bigger egoes than yesteryear ones.They need a cheerleader and yes man. Shastri is God send (hehe). Why blame Shastri? He saw an opportunity and grabbed it by hook or crook. All said and done he is the coach because players unanimously endorsed him.If he had none of that proper procedures would have been followed and deserved candidate would have been coach.

I would have taken lal Chand rajput. Atleast he has some experience.

Shastri any day over lal chand rajput..

Sounds odd but the head coach shouldn't actually be a coach..needs to be a man-manager. Batting -Bowling coach can take care of the technical stuff.

LAL didn't coach Afghanistan as such , he headed his backroom team and will be doing the same for Zimbabwe.

If you remember he was Team Manager/ Mentor for the Indian side that won the WCT20 in 2007 not coach

There should be a batting, bowling, fielding, conditioning coach. Head coach should take input from all these coaches and come up with a plan to execute. He has to execute, manage players, coaches, logistics and personnel. Not drink beer all the time.

 

Shastri has no experience. lal Chand has been in the trenches for a long time.
