Tibarn Posted June 28, 2018 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Our middle order hardly ever gets exposed, so it will take a string of failures by Raina to actually get dropped again. Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli usually finish matches by themselves, playing the bulk of the innings(especially in ODIs) so the chances taht Raina, Pandey, et al get exposed in a bilateral series is less. The same was the case with Rahane and Yuvraj. These guys hardly ever came to bat, so team management hardly got a look at how unfit they were for the middle order. However, Indian Cricket is currently blessed with younger and fitter players with a strong work ethic. Raina has had a slip in both form and fitness over the last two years.We should look towards the future rather than including players for nostalgic purpose.
