Workload management of bowlers

Recommended Posts

I think umesh is supremely fit he has become smarter and now smartly using his pace to advantage, he has consistently picked up wicts with the new ball since IPL so no worries there, i am a huge fan of bhuvi but I am more worried about bhuvi, I don't think he is fit the guy has been sucking  air at faster rate than his bowling speeds while bowling, he is still an asset, a genuine swing bowler and handy at the death his workload should be managed properly.

Bumrah, this guy is crucial for worldcup success, we need fit and fiery bumrah for the WC, he should or should be made to skip all those meaningless t20is, bcci should act smart here and force bhuvi n bumrah to skip that 2019 IPL which start just before WC.

Playing them in t20 fine as they are bowling just 2 overs spells and end up bowling short 3-4 overs per game. But they need to be rotated well in the ODI series where rotation is extremely necessary. As it can take toll on the body.

Luckily its not a crazy 7 match ODI series or something like we have played on previous tours or series at times.

Tour has just started and already 2 of our main pacers are out injured. Shows the lack of planning by the team management in managing the workload. There was no need to play Bumrah against a minnow team like Ireland. Bhuvi should be rested for the ODI series and Umesh needs to be rotated for the ODI series. Is Shami selected for ODI's?

Our ODI specialist pacers for this series

Bhuvi

Kaul

Umesh

Shardul

I wonder whether our Team management or selectors have looked at this group as a whole  !

Itihaas gawah, jab tak peetenge nhin akal nhin aayegi

neither they have looked that this pace bowling attack has no variety , neither we have a 6th bowler , neither for past 1 yr they ever though of finding more bowlers incase of injury to bhuvi n bumrah

The selectors have earmarked Kaul,Thakur, as reserve fast bowlers but they are also raw.

The selectors should have selected young Pacers for this T20 series

i dont like Kaul as i consider him a bit slow to represent India ..though he has performed and has kept me mum..shardul is FAIR but he should become faster only then i would be impressed.

in odi hardik and 2 spinners will play in most matches and then only 2 out of 4 will play, shardul ,kaul, bhuvi and umesh...

england can only WIN if they create fast bowling tracks and their PLUNKETT,stokes and other 2 pacers beat Our Pacers and on this PITCH our pacers bcom in effective.

if our SPin twins get even little turn then the Match will be robbed of COmpetition..we would win the ODI with england not even competing so england will make fast tracks and then if our Pacers will need to bowl very well to compete with their Pacers, lets Hope for the best.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is out as he has aggravated a lower back condition in the 3rd ODI against England.

His condition is being assessed by the BCCI medical team and a call on his inclusion in the Test squad will be made soon.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah who was injured during the first T20I against Ireland will be available for selection from the 2nd Test onwards.

Bhuvneshwar will undergo intense rehabilitation for about four weeks at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru

Wriddhiman’s rehabilitation has been a complete goof up. The NCA physio has bungled it big time. Now only a surgery can put him back on track.

Bhuvneshwar should be cautious while going to NCA

Aggravation of Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s back injury during the third ODI against England has raised questions on the role of Indian team physio Patrick Farhart and trainer Shankar Basu in handling of the situation.

Somewhere I blame Bhuvi as well he was injured during Ipl then played in the second half should have opted out rather than playing with a niggle and our management looks even more stupid carrying a half fit player to England.
