velu
Federer going strong at 37 now . Nadal and Djoker are doing well at 32. Usual retirement age is 30/31 in tennis. Zlatan Ibrahamovic is 37 and still going strong as a striker . Typical retirment age for a striker is 30. Buffon is 40 now and he will be the main keeper for PSG for another one year. Wladmir klitshcko retired at 42. Misbah retired at 42. I see many similarities between misbah and Dhoni. Both are their teams fittest guys irrespective of their age. Assuming Dhoni stays fit like misbah , he can very well till 42. 42 -37 = 5 ( this calculaton is for @beetle ji ) Probably Dhoni got five more years of cricket left in his tank . @adi B Suhaan 1 Link to comment

Nikhil_cric
Roger federer is an exception not the norm. And lol at the comparison with Misbah. Misbah was exactly like Dhoni. Kept a carefully guarded image of himself and was PCB's man through and through. A guy who choked in the 2007 World t20 and in the Mohali semifinal should have been forcefully retired then at the age of 37 in LOIs. The only reason PCB stuck with him was because their credibility was shot after the fixing fiasco. Between 2011 and 2015, Misbah's ODI strike rate was 70 odd with an average of 40. Misbah played politics to keep out relatively talented batsmen and actually looked like the best player in an extremely weak and one paced batting lineup. If we are gonna compare our batsmen to a lineup that was mediocre even by Pakistan's standards then our cricket is really on life support. Ironically, with all their baggage and lack of infrastructure, they have found 2 good bats in babar and fakhar, very good bowlers , an allrounder and are experimenting with youth to fill the gaps whereas we are regressing ever so slowly..... Khota
Tennis has a way to self correct. Federer lost. Cricket does not self correct. Dhoni is still playing. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
Khota
Once again I dont want to come across bitter but Federer era is not the same era of a decade back. Tennis is not a popular sport and has less competition. It is easy to dominate in a sport like Tennis. Football is very popular and it is hard to stay at the top. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
