Clueless & Corrupt Kaptan King Kohli

Recommended Posts

Negi should not even be in the playing XI. Sundar can bowl intelligently and so can CDG. Looks like Kohli works on a pre-defined script and nothing can change his mind. Probably the best bat in the world rt now, but pathetic captain.

Lol. Kuch bhi.

Sundar is a batsman and bowls parttime off spin but ipl has turned him into a bowler. IPL has actually ruined him by turning a great batting talent to an off spinner. He is just like Raina as a bowler, no real skills or variation but a bit more clever

When they select bowlers for a match (I’m talking about Gary here), what makes them to finalise Siraj & Corey?

Don’t they have any other bowlers?

Sundar only one over, Negi 3 overs... CDG no over... seriously?

Siraj tbh did well. Bowled 3 straight overs at death isn't easy.

Is Sundar a part timer??

Yes. He is a batsman by trade but his early success last year propelled him as a bowled which he is not as he lacks the skills to be a bowled at the moment.

He pretty much lost it by giving extras..,

But looking at Corey getting overs after overs, bowling same long hop $hit every ball was pathetic...

Either the matches are fixed or the Captaincy is gutter level poor... in both case it’s alarming for Indian Cricket...

Siraj and Corey are run leaking machines. Siraj has given 45 plus runs in two matches this IPL. Corey is not even a bowler so he is bound to go for that many runs. The bowling attack is pathetic as usual. Sundar is not doing good too. Even Umesh isn't reliable like Bhuvi. All in all too many run leakers.

Kohli's captaincy has always been about being aggressive and attacking instead of risk management ( Opposite of Dhoni's captaincy).

While his approach will get us good results in Test matches, it'll backfire regularly in ODI's and T20's. Dhoni's approach on the other hand was perfect for ODI's and T20's but unsuitable for Tests.

Unless he realises that his aggressive approach isn't suitable for LOI's we'll be losing ODI's and T20's regularly under his captaincy.

also kohli is a bit extra conventional captain which is good for test but not LOI, where u have to be unconventional at times and go with instinct many times.

He also looses control in crunch situations which comes far often in LOI at gr8 pace, test cricket gives u time to come back ....LOI doesnt much

"We've the got the most balanced squad in years" - Virat Kohli, just before IPL 2018 began.

actually they did decent at option but hasnt cracked a team combination n has done number of mistakes in team selection

Easier said then done , that a captain is as good as team.....true to great extent but u have to resources wisely as well

Yes, a successful LOI captain needs to be street smart like Dhoni. (Adapting to situations, Constantly assessing the state of the game, thinking out of the box etc)

Kohli's approach is "In your face all the time". It won't work in LOI's.

even ganguly who took instinctive calls and was cocky many times.

Lets take IPL example, rohit n gambhir have been terrific over the year and now ashwin

Also Kohli's body language in LOI goes extremely negative , whereas in test its opposite may be he feels he has a chance to comeback after mistake. Its not that he doesnt do blunders in test cricket

lol... people are getting pissed off as if this is the first time they are seeing him...

This is a common knowledge since years now...

Indian team is not his baap ki jaagir...thats why they are doing good...Dhoni and other seniors+management is there to control Kohli... RCB is all him and he is not good at it...plain simple

Siraj and Corey are run leaking machines. They are doing Vinay Kumar's job but at higher costs.

IMO, they did not do particularly well at the auction, definitely not better than most other teams.

They messed up pre-auction .... retaining sarfaraz and letting go Rahul ... the whole retaining players part was so bizarre ... 17 crores for Kohli (why??), 2 Cr. or something for Sarfaraz .... No other team did that ....

Lot of average / just above average foreign players picked up in the auction ... Woakes, Southee, Baz (has been), Moeen etc.

With the present squad, no combination of player selection will be good enough to win games consistently and go far in the tournament.

He doesnt know what to do when a batsman goes the tonk. Have seen when Chandimal went crazy a few years ago. It was his first series as captain. He hasnt changed much. Rahane and Ashwin are better captains - they are aggressive without actually showing it and they have the ability to adjust.

He is a crappy captain but know-nothings are so absorbed in Dhoni hate that they continue to give Kohli a pass because that would make Dhoni look good and that irks them

Fact is test match captaincy is not that tough. Things are set for the most part and you have match winners like Ashwin

It is ODI and T20's where captaincy plays a big part. Fast moving games require you to think on your feet and stay calm

You are confusing between Aggressive and being dumb.
