The logic behind dropping KL Rahul ..

So i am just trying to understand.  Sure Rahul failed the last match but what can possibly the logic behind dropping an inform batsman possibly in the greatest form of his life??

Does dropping him make our batting any stronger???

Aren't we hurting his confident by constantly fiddling with his batting position and dropping him after every third match??? 

Will we ever give rahul a full ODI series before dropping him ?? I really thought Rahul at 3 and kohli at 4 gave India a balance that we had been craving for ,but alas.

Logic is irrelevant. What matters is that Kohli doesn't back Rahul and will sell him down the river the moment things go wrong.

I didn't believe that but unfortunately doesn't seem like there is another explanation.

Seems like the team will turn him into a t20 specialist and kohli can breath with ease being the only megastar batsman in indian cricket.

There is no cricketing explanation. That's the beauty of it. 

 

Only reason could be Kohli is jealous of Rahul or he has a grudge against him or a bit of both.

There's no hope for logic or rationale with this management  and off course dhoni is too powerful to be dropped , shastri kohli don't have the guts .

Rahul can’t bowl the two crucial overs that Raina can bowl. It’s a no-brainer. Raina has to play even if he can’t put bat to ball these days. Those 2 overs from a part timer are extremely important

Apparently there are lots of deserving players like Rahane,Pandey etc so you cannot fix someone like Rahul and give him an extended run even though he maybe a once in a generation talent who just a few  weeks ago played an awe inspiring innings at the highest level.

 

Also guys returning to the team and playing only one format like poor Raina need more time to adjust so they cannot be dropped.Never mind they cannot play pace or spin

 

And your question regarding the batting order,well Kohli has scored so many centuries at number 3 so we cannot move him.Lets just forget the fact that him at 4 increases our strength and improves of our chances of winning a world cup.Don't we have enough of those lying around?

ATM, the only reason for Kohli seems to be is to make him feel bad and make him sulk in his room later in the evening and then take him on a date along with Anushka.

i have been defending Kohli but this drop does not make any sense and brining in Karthik of all people. If Rahul was not injured Kohli is doing serious damage to morale of the team before test series.

Virat hasnt won us anything in last 2 years . yeah statistically he may not look bad ,but very often hes got out the wrong time which never happened in the past . He is as bad as anyone while chasing these days ! 

if we go with this linup , I will bet on anything we will have an embarrassing exit in one of the KO matches  when we get to chase anythnig more than 280.

As said the hypothetical crucial Raina overs are not in Rahul's CV

Rahul cannot open as it is held by Hitman

Rahul just failed in the last match(what a huge mistake he committed,as if Raina ,Dhoni etc are going great guns)

What if  a few innings of class and brilliance,next Superstar,serious competition to Kohli's brand value

it is indeed a shame ,that we are ruining careers of so many talented youngsters with this team management.
