Popular Post Switchblade
Quote https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/103202/ms-dhoni-took-to-ball-to-show-it-to-bowling-coach-ravi-shastri-india-cricket-team-vs-england-dhoni-retirement-speculations The video grab of Mahendra Singh Dhoni taking the match ball from the umpires after the third ODI against England at Headingley, Leeds went viral on social media after India's eight-wicket loss had already generated a lot of heat. Is Dhoni retiring?" was the talking point as all and sundry began to wonder about the significance of the former India skipper walking away with the match ball despite India having lost the match. Dhoni asked for the ball from field umpires Bruce Oxenford (Australia) and Michael Gough (England) as the teams walked back towards the pavilion. Team India coach Ravi Shastri dismissed all speculation on Dhoni's retirement on Wednesday (July 18). "MS wanted to show the ball to Bharat Arun. He wanted to show him the wear and tear the ball had endured, to get a general idea of what the conditions were like," Shastri clarified to TOI. Social media was abuzz with speculation that the former India captain will soon bid a final goodbye to all formats of the game. "That's rubbish. MS is not going anywhere," Shastri confirmed. Dhoni's 59-ball 37 at Lord's, in a game that India lost by 86 runs, came in for a lot of criticism with fans booing the World Cup-winning skipper during the chase. Shastri reiterated that if criticism has to come Dhoni's way, he might as well endure it. But that wouldn't make him any less important than he is, given what he brings to the squad. "But right now, all this clamour is nonsense. He just wanted to show the ball to Arun to just have a look at it after close to 45 overs had been bowled," he said. congratulations to @velu and @Rasgulla Edited July 19, 2018 by Switchblade Gollum, velu, Rasgulla and 7 others 1 9 Link to comment

SecondSlip
I always knew he was never retiring. He thinks he is bigger than the team. I mean the guy is totally mediocre in T20 cricket yet he’s clinging on to our T20 side like a mosquito even when there are at least 4-5 other WKs such as Karthik, Pant, Kishan, Samson, KL Rahul etc. Who deserve to be selected instead of him. Yet he won’t retire from the format Retiring from ODIs is a very far fetched idea. UrmiSinhaRay, raki05, Gollum and 2 others 1 4 Link to comment
UrmiSinhaRay
All these Pants, Kishans, and Samsons will vanish before 2023 WC. How long can you keep performing without getting selected properly? Kohli selects Playing XI using random chitsSent from my CPH1609 using Tapatalk Khota 1 Link to comment

The rest is on his mood, as well as how many drinks Shastri had last night. Switchblade, UrmiSinhaRay and Jimmy Cliff 1 2 Link to comment

Pant is getting a lot of support from Dravid and selectors but kitne din? Players honestly tend to regress after 2-3 yrs in domestic and we will eventually have another name cropping up as Kohli prefers older players and Kartik will play atleast till 22 asia cup unless problems happen.
