Some of my best childhood memories are from Calcutta. Victoria Memorial, Chowringee, going on buses to visit those places. I found Bengalis to be some of the nicest people.

 

Things I did not like were everyday "Hobbe Na, Cholbe Na" strikes.

 

I enjoyed the football culture of the city but never supported Mohun Bagan or East Bengal when they played in Delhi. Now I am showing my age so I better shut up.

Hyaan....though I hate the very taste and smell of fish lol.
No wonder we declined so much in sports... Especially the middle class urban population.

Hmm,Wb had a rich sporting culture,Last year I was there in Kolkata to attend my brothers marriage,

There were fields filled with aspiring cricketers and footballers..but I was left disappointed with the mishti doi ,it was just yuck,kind of milavti mishti doi....
