This is an inhuman act and the culprits should be caught and given severe punishment... Also they should undergo psycho analysis to understand an common behaviour among these people. Instead here we have a 7th century barbaric Arabian culture in 21st century where on a specific day millions of animals are slaughtered in public spaces by amateurs very clumsily whilst people of all ages are exposed to the macabre sight of fountains of blood with the animals holding on to their dear lives in vain. Is there any equivalent in other cultures/religions? When Muslim kids see this sight repeated over and over again with rivers of blood accompanying, is it fair to expect it to not have an adverse effect on their psyche? Here's the result. IMO the root is the propensity of Muslims to indulge in violence because of their religious teachings which gives a major thrust on blood lust and cruelty. In fact I will go a step further and say that violence/cruelty is an integral part of most of the old religions but Islam is the only one that hasn't reformed. That too is one of the reasons why Muslims conquered and ruled large parts of the subcontinent in spite of being a minuscule minority. Just like our forefathers we dharmic people are yet to come to terms with the extent of violence the desert cultists are capable of carrying out. That is also a reason why Hindus are so subservient and need to outnumber Muslims by 5:1 just to hold their ground.
