Root needs to be unsettled. Bowl a few bouncers. Rattle him. Otherwise he would hang on the backfoot and play the way he wants.

All they have bowled today is short and back of length...and they have creamed so many boundaries of it already.

We need bowl fuller to be little threatening.

I think Hasan Ali and Abbas bowled with a little more skill. Bowled the right line/length and with a wobbly seam, they got more movement off the deck. Constantly threatening the stumps. Our bowlers haven't been consistent enough.

The summer wasnt this dry + unlike yadav they are blessed with brains.

Our fast bowlers lack skill, mixing of whatever the skills they have. Shami has the skills. But not full range of skills.

Yeah but they should atleast look to bowl tight and get the English batters to hit out. They don't have the pedigree for big scores and get frustrated easily but we are giving them freebies.

Can't believe Kohli was going to field first on this pitch lol. There is absolutely nothing in it. There was early movement for ~10-12 overs and they couldn't capitalized on it. And with just one spinner in the side it's going to be a long day, or two.

Wait till their bowlers bowl then you will see the same pitch full of life.

Well he didn't because England won the toss, but he said that he would have bowled if he had won the toss.

That's true but fielding first still wouldn't have made any sense. This is not a green top, and on a good batting track you bat almost every time.

In Sky Sports commentary discussion going on that India is doing slip catching practise using Rubber balls and wearing gloves

Holding and Nasser correctly saying rubber ball catching involves different technique to cricket ball.

No wonder these guys have been horrible in slips catching cricket balls without gloves.

If Pandya is trundling at 80 mph what exactly is he doing in the team. How the heck is he better than Stuart Binny.

Jennings has so many holes in his technique, they are not exploiting it.

Its criminal to play Pandu over Kuldeep

Yadav and Pandya have to bowl one boundary ball per over.

Yadav gives u hope, till he actually bowls disappointingly in the game.

Pandya should not be picked, he's neither a good enough bowler or batsman! Jadeja atleast bowls tighter or Kuldeep more chances.

Bhuvi injured is a big loss!
