lots of greenery there,i hope most of it is not taken off before 9th

dont think they want Indian spinners to come into play.  it will help spinners less than Edgebaston.  it has live grass and temperature will go down from tomorrow onward which will not let the grass burn.

Look at Shastri's pregnant belly. Players would hardly respect his inputs when he lectures them about fitness.

When Shastri was a player, he was fit.......

Infact except Gary all our coaches have had a belly be it Duncan (the one who taught Kohli about Fitness), John, heck even kumble had a belly.

I'm not sure how does a coach having a belly impacts his work.

It does not matter on the impact. Inside belly is full of cash :money:

How are they keeping it green ? Working on the wicket early morning or after sunset ? Apparently there's record heat as per this article and teams are considering 2 spinners, but the wicket doesn't look like that.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/24306809/the-heat-play-two-spinners-lords

it is all about watering and keeping the the wicket covered. There was heat but not anymore.  now things are changing.  Whole test will be played under overcast conditions and threat of rain.  There is a possibility of rain tonight as well.

^ Yea, the curators work early/late or something.

But what's the 2 spinner thing ? Pitch doesn't look like that.

Two spinners at Edgbaston probably would've meant that England's lead doesn't exceed 150, they also play pace better than spin. It seems the Pandya love brigade doesn't even rate our spinners over that batting A/R :whack:

there was no such guarantee. even if it had happened who would have scored those runs. we would not have crossed 150 in the first innings without Kohli and Pandya partnership.  we would have conceded massive lead in the first inning itself. Same in the second innings, we were under 80 odd for 5 in 2nd innings.

Today is the last heat wave in London. Just went out for lunch and its blazing hot outside. But as per weather forecast, the temperature drops from this evening and rain is expected on weekends.

India's luck is also bad. Whenever and whichever venue they plays in England turns cloudy. Entire country was having heatwave but just on those 5 days when India was playing, it became cloudy. Same here in London...its suppose to get cloudy exactly the day India plays

^ Too much grass to our comfort. But wont last more than a day

The grass doesn't matter, even at Edgbaston it didn't. The grass can easily dry out in a day or 2, what matters is the surface underneath. Apparently it was fairly dry in the last test, as compared to typical England. The same will be the case for Lords, even if it is green grass atm. I'm 100% sure the second spinner will be more than handy, provided we don't sacrifice a genuine pacer for the batting A/R :yousuck:
