It will be the flattest pitch of the series

Lords always sells out tickets for days 1-4 and they want as long a test match as possible to make maximum revenue from tickets, food, alcohol etc

All pitch/weather conditions should be largely ignored and aim should be to bat first and bat long, 400+

I would go with

Vijay

Rahul

Pujara

Kohli

Karthik

Pant

Ashwin

Kuldeep

Shami

Ishant

Bumrah

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli

has called on fans to support the entire team and not focus on just one or two players.

Addressing a gathering of senior diplomats, business chiefs and politicians at a special reception hosted by the Indian High Commissioner to the UK YK Sinha at his London residence on Tuesday evening, the batsman praised his fellow teammates for their hard work.

England have trimmed their squad of 13 to 12 for the second Test, as Joe Root confirmed that Ollie Pope will debut at number four.

The decision to be made before the toss  will be whether Chris Woakes or Moeen Ali will make it into the starting XI.

Virat Kohli  said that it is tempting to field two spinners for the second Test against England . Kohli said the pitch looked really hard, dry and it will definitely be an all-round wicket. "Playing two spinners could be a very tempting thought. The pitch looked really hard, the surface looked dry. It has been very hot in London for a last couple of months. It is good that it has grass on the wicket and basically it is required to keep the wicket like that otherwise it's gonna be very difficult for the pitch to hold itself even in the first few days," Kohli said.

Likely be a 4 day test, with at-least a days worth of overs to be lost due to interrupting rain the coming days.

I suggest India go aggressive with 5 bowlers (2 spin + 3 seam combo). The seamers will lave a lot less overs to bowl in these conditions and likely to get breaks/breather. 2 spinners will bring in a lot of variety. Persistent dry weather for months plus recent rain, I think the pitch will be unpredictable and India is prepared either ways.

Stick to the same batting line up, hopefully even if they do not fire the second time the reduced game time/overs means there is hope of drawing it.
