Lannister
India have opted for Shami, Ishant, Kuldeep and Ashwin as a 4-man attack for the second Test. But is this a wise decision to go a pacer short in these conditions and especially with our history of difficulty in taking 20 wickets. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
sensible-indian
Very risky move. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
UrmiSinhaRay
Kuldeep-for all his worth, is a hit and miss debutante.Should have gone for Jadeja instead. Sent from my CPH1609 using Tapatalk Link to comment
Singh bling
This pace attack is extremely weak Link to comment
kira
4 and a half bowlers , also in test cricket even 4 are enough since there isn't a limit of overs per bowler, we have played with 4 bowlers since forever before kohli took over Link to comment
Mosher
Would have wanted Umesh to be in the team as he is the only one who can bowl outswingers in this team. speedheat, Hell Raiser, Adi BB and 3 others 2 4 Link to comment
CG
from the pov of the final analysis 4 or 5 doesnt really matter ,ind bowlers have always struggled in eng,you have to bowl exceptionally well to get them out.On the contrary we have best record in England of our overseas tours . Link to comment

SK_IH
going with Pandya as 3rd seamer is quite unwise UrmiSinhaRay and express bowling 1 1 Link to comment
asterix
Why 4 bowlers? Pandya is there too...So 5 bowlers.., UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
speedheat
Conditions are conducive for outswing bowling and our best outswing bowler umesh is warming the bench!! Team selection is one area where kohli is terrible. Mosher, express bowling and UrmiSinhaRay 1 2 Link to comment
rkt.india
our difficulty right now is scoring runs, not taking 20 wickets. Switchblade, UrmiSinhaRay and Mosher 1 2 Link to comment

express bowling
1. We have not altered the bowler count from the first test. It is still 4 specialist bowlers and the batting all-rounder. 2. We have altered the composition of our bowling attack. Just 2 specialist pacers against 3 last time. 3. With the ball expected to swing under cloud cover ... just 2 specialist pacers seem very very risky. 4. Pandya is not 3rd pacer material in England. No way ! But we have used 3 or more specialist pacers to achieve this in tests outside Asia in the last 3 years. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

When he has got swing in more swing-friendly conditions ... I have seen more outswing than inswing with the new ball. He gets inswing while reverse swinging the ball. sandeep, Mosher and UrmiSinhaRay 2 1 Link to comment

However, he can be developed after this series, for the long term. Edited August 10, 2018 by express bowling Mosher, UrmiSinhaRay and sensible-indian 1 1 1 Link to comment
