The thing with Kohli is more often than not Kohli is thinking opposite to what the opposition captain is thinking. So even if he wins tosses, it may still be a wrong decision.

We could have won series in south africa but kohli was really poor in selecting xi and even on field he wasn't good. Give captaincy to someone else i am 100% sure they can do better and kohli will perform better as batsman too.

Don't remember what happened in Australia but this year in SA and Eng he got what he wanted 3 out of 5 times.

After the toss is lost VK always says his intent was to do what the opposition put his team to do,  its a means of keeping up pressure and put some doubts on the opposition does not mean ****.
