Match lasted 170 overs

35+88+47=170; new low for Indian cricket :adore:

Not even 2 full days worth of cricket, this didn't happen in 2011 or 2014. Now I know what Shastri meant when he said they aimed to surpass previous tours :cantstop:.  We lost 20 wickets in 82.2 overs after so many reprieves :bootyshake:

That infamous 1996 Durban match lasted 230+ overs.

Old Trafford 2014 lasted 195 overs.

Oval 2014 lasted 207 overs.

Even NZ 2002 tests lasted for longer no of overs with both teams having chances to win unlike the one-way traffic here. Has there ever been a shorter test match involving the Indian team?

Afghans did better in their debut test.

Disaster, shocking inapptitute in batting, the top 6 had to see out only 30 overs in Day 2 and would had favourable conditions to bat on Day 3

even if on average each of the top 6 faced 30-40 balls it was enough to see them through a tough period.

Zero outrage in Indian media, sports journalists sugar coating everything to defend this gutless show. When I was a kid me and my friends used to crowd around the TV set in the evening to hear Bedi Uncle rip apart players' spineless performances in Match Ka Mujrim type shows. There would be tough questions asked even if we lost valiantly to ATG Australia outfit. Now PR machinery has taken over and bots are crowding social media to divert attention and pay glowing tributes to the players based on performances elsewhere with no connection to this series.

Honestly this is extremely unfair to other teams that India gets series of 4 to 5 tests in england after repeatedly getting disgraced for years now without even showing a little fight, also pretty foolish on ECB's part too to actually not give more tests to teams who are 100 times better performing in england than india i.e west indies won a test, srilanka levelled the series and pakistan series were superly fought.

Unfair not just to other teams, even to our team and fans. BDSM is indeed extremely painful and humiliating after a while. Aus will give just 2 test series to Pakistan under new FTP because Pakistan haven't even drawn a test there in the last 20+ years. Similarly Eng should reduce our visits to 1 or 2 test matches every 4 years. Long test series should be earned....in 80s and early 90s WI used to get 5/6 test series everywhere, now look at them begging to stay relevant.

People don't rarely take cricket as a priority nowadays To weep endlessly over some lost Test Match.
To be frank, Kohli failed to garner proper appreciation even after scoring Century at Edgbaston and winning the T20I series In England.
He's definitely not Dhoni, Dada OR Sachin whose petty crimes are covered up by their bigger achievements.
Rather, people have fun everytime they get A chance to bash Kohli.

Also, the focus is not on the main problem of the team-that is, player management.
The ones who care just pass off comments like XYZ players could have saved our ass.
Nooo!
Pant/Nair/other ICF hyped players will score in their first 2-3 matches, and then will catch up with the same disgusting Disease that plague the rest of the team.
We know what has happened to KL Rahul, don't we!!

Aswhin also got out in 1st innings because he was trying to shield Shami...batted on a different pitch here, makes it looks so effortless sometimes. Remember him and Dhoni salvaging reputation in 2014 as well.

Our batting has been just horrible in England since last 8 yrs. Lower order has outplayed our top order batsman.
