All the specialist batsmen except Kohli are on notice

Why not Kohli? If we analyze his returns here, they weren't without lots of luck. Even Kohli needs to play percentage cricket more, avoid one day strokes like that ill fated leg side flick in the first over of Ben on the 4th morning.

Luck is a part of the game. If you take chanceless average, I doubt not many will avg 30 .... and then it would be hard to account for LBWs not given, not appealed for, a direct hit run out opportunity missed, ....

That was a bread and butter boundary option for Kohli. He is playing on a different plane to everybody else.

Yet again you miss the point.

It wasn't on that pitch, in Stokes' first over. That shot was totally avoidable, just like that hoick at Adelaide.

His form since 2016 has gone downhill since England series did well in Joburg with him it’s just that in every series he plays one or two good innings hopefully he does well in the upcoming Australian series really want him to do well.

They have batted with some intent, they played close to their body , even Dhawan who is not about discipline, also.played with same protocol....it did swing in early part of the innings....it all looks a gush of fresh air these days, this is pure normal test cricket, this is the way to play it,it was a norm back in good old days of test cricket( most recently10 years ago)

Sad about how Rahul and Rahane have regressed ...  although Rahane's inconsistency is partly due to his technique against spin and so many tests in Asia.

Never had much faith in either Dhawan or Vijay.   Dhawan lacks technique and Vijay always lacked hunger for success.
