The myth of home advantage and No.1 rank

Whatever the result of this Eng v India series, you still read/hear murmurs in media and TV commie regarding India’s No.1 built on home advantage.

Well in last 5 years, amongst the big 4, India has played least games at home, 23 Tests. On the other hand England has played a whopping 33 Tests at home, 10 more than India.

Can you imagine what stats of Kohli, Pujara, Ashwin and Jadeja would have been with 10 extra Tests in last 5 years?!? :lol: It’s like another 1000 runs or 100 extra wkts for these guys

These hypocrites don’t play enough in Asian conditions and when they do they get walloped and then point finger questioning India’s ranking.

Even the perennial “actual” number 1, SA, has played 2nd highest games at home, 4 more than India, but jokers couldn’t dominate like India and Australia at home, buggers even choke in Tests.

Irony is, India has played most away games in last 5 years and surprise surprise, SA, played 9 away Tests less than India!

The respect SA get is overblown in media and comm box

Whatever the case of Asian pitches and SENA, it’s meanginless in home and away scenario

We have to do away record too and show why India is no 1.We have to tell these morons, Indians are not claiming this Indian team to be 1980s WI or 2000s Aussies.

India is no 1 becuase it is dominant  in Asia and stinks less than other teams away.

Only suggestion is to add the total games played in the period too to see what % of games were played at home by the teams .... Ind could have played 80% of their games at home, while SA say 66% for e.g. .... this info has to be clarified for a well rounded analysis

India and Pak right at bottom on % of Tests played at home. Both are not even near 50% mark. It’s nearly a difference of 6-7 Tests not played home by India over 5 years compared to SA, Aus and Eng

and what’s ironic, India are currently just halfway through their epic away journey, :lol: so home-away ratio will be more skewed

Last 5 years:

BIPS = 171 Tests

SENA = 197 Tests
