I heard Moeen is in a fine form with the bat. India need to remove cook as soon as possible koz he has good record here, I think at least one innings England Lost last 6 wickets in 100 runs in 4th test Link to comment

Will we do the same they have just included a batsman in Moeen who can bowl spin in place of Pope. We dont have that extra batsman who can bowl spin. They still have four seamers. We cant afford to go with just 3 seamers at Ageas Bowl. Lannister, RAZPOR, Switchblade and 1 other 1 1 2 Link to comment

England going in with 6 bowlers while compromising their batting strength. I hope Ash and Ishant are fit enough to run through these 7 left handers . As long as we play moeen Ali well, I think we're good. Moeen is batsman first. Lannister 1 Link to comment

I suspect that one of the other bowlers (Stokes/Broad/Jimmy) are not fully fit and that England are going for moeen just for the extra bowling option as well. Just a hunch though. Otherwise there was no need to drop pope. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

I highly doubt Moeen Ali is any better a batsman than when he played in the Ashes and, barring, a shocker from our bowling attack we should dismiss him cheaply. Sgattick10
I m sure England picked two spinners to entice India into thinking its a spinning track, so they pick 2 spinners too lol. UrmiSinhaRay, Adi BB, Lannister and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment

express bowling
Are India thinking of playing both R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja at the Ageas Bowl? Some might even suggest that thoughts of playing a second spinner might have crept into India's minds after Joe Root revealed that Moeen Ali would play the fourth Test and share spin duties with Adil Rashid. Moeen, however, is taking the place of a specialist batsman, Ollie Pope, and England view his offspin as a bonus, given the many and varied bowling options they already possess. http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/24514030/are-india-thinking-playing-r-ashwin-ravindra-jadeja-ageas-bowl I hope we don't play just 2 specialist pacers again. England want us to fall into this trap by playing Moeen ( who is actually replacing a batsman ) Edited August 29, 2018 by express bowling raki05 and Lannister 2 Link to comment
