But Rahul is having issues with his technique.  Footwork has becoming minimal.  He is getting stuck at the crease.  

 

Not looking good as a batsman till he sorts his technical issues.

His technique change to cater needs of T20s seems to have affected his longer format technique. This is 6 continuous tests in SA and Eng that he has failed to make a substantial score, and his rope is fast coming to an end.

He is really looking out of sorts and I agree be is completely stuck in the crease because of technical and mental issues .His front leg ain't moving to the pitch of the ball because he's almost always anticipating outswingers from Anderson and broad

This is simply the main reason for his downfall. Being adaptable in all three formats is near impossible and only special players can manage it like Kohli.

Even I was thinking the same. He has age on his side . If Dhawan can be given so many chances and Kohli was given a chance after English nightmare then he should also get a chance.

Compare the teammates domestic records: KL Rahul and Manish Pandey and it appears our management has reversed selection of the two.

 

Pandey has better List A and First Class numbers, while Rahul has better IPL/T20 numbers. 

 

Maybe Manish Pandey should've been tried in Tests before Rahul.
