Virat Kohli absence is a blessing in disguise

1) For the first time this Indian team will feel like , how to play without there superstar who wins them more than 50 % of the matches.
   That can add the sense of responsibility & they can be tougher as there is no kohli to bail them out.. ALL on there own

2)We get an opportunity to look at Rohit as a captain in Odi cricket & that creats an alternative if we ever want to go for split captaincy.

3)Absence of Kohli can give entire tournament for Rahul at 3 and Manish at 4 & Jadahv/Raydu/ Kartik at 5... We can eventually get
 2 out of these for to complete the vunerable NO. 4 & 5 position for the world cup.

It would have been a blessing if our middle order didn't consist of Rayudu, Jadhav, Dhoni and Karthik. Same old recycled trash.

 

This was a perfect chance to blood in people like Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant etc. But no, our tried and tested failures need more preparation for the world cup.

Rohit has more chances of winning that cup as captain then kohli but does he have the team .....that remains to be seen

Rohit & Dhawan will do their job. Problem will be middle order and lower middle order. Our tail will start directly from #3 now as virat is rested. Dhoni bats like he is on mission to make comeback in test side.

You are forgetting about the great Nidhahas Trophy this year.

 

No Kohli ... and Rohit captained against SL and Bangladesh.

Agreed. India should never be a one man show. It is a TEAM.

It's true. But we shouldn't go back to the same failures when he returns. We had a different team playing for Nidhas trophy and after that, we completely went back to the same old TTFs.
