why so shocked???? if u knw kohli's captaincy it was expected

my biggest fear is dhawan scores in those game when he is on edge and screws us in next 10 games

Irrespective of what he does here dhawan will be sure starter against windies at home m worried about shaws chances even at home now.

Harsha Bhogle: India's selectors have just made a damning statement of what they think of Karun Nair as a player. Very very hard on him. Would love to know what he was told when the team was announced.

Like Nair is the solution to anything

If Nair wasn't solution he should have never been picked. If he was picked in squad he should have gotten chance ahead of vihari.

The reason Rahul is still playing is because Kohli remembers how it went for him in the last England tour. It's safe to say Rahul will atleast get 1-2 series to prove himself.
No...it's more because he is now a fledgling brand.

To each your own.
But I really want to know which idiot wanted Vihari in the team.
They couldn't send Siraj who is in great form but sent Vijay back home and send this Vihari.
If anything, we need openers.
Shaw should've been debuted today instead of Vihari

Why take it out on Vihari? He has an highest average in FC cricket and has been consistently performing over the years.

Kohli's selection is based on age. I will not be surprised if Mayank made his debut ahead of Shaw.

Pant is 20- he made his debut and probably going to be the permanent Test wicketkeeper for a while.

It was a terrible squad selected for a tour to Eng. 33 year old Karthik who has not played test cricket for years, trundler Thakur, mediocre Nair etc

I don't believe that Ashwin was forced . Bhuvi is fit but he is asked to play domestic matches. Why would they ask Ashwin then??

Either Ashwin failed to report the injury and played 4th test or he picked it up after 4th test

ur batting is week and u wanna weeken it more

Umesh yadav is no malcolm marshal, he himself is so inconsistent....and was very avg in 1st game

He wnt run through a side

It's not about batting. We let the England lower order get away twice and because of that we lost both of those matches. An additional bowler is needed here.

Siraj should have been picked after 3rd test tbh, there is no point in making him fly just for this dead rubber now.

You are too harsh on vihari, ffs this is his first game and let's see how he deals with the situation moreover nair is not international class after 300 he has scored peanuts,.so vihari over nair is a good decision

that bowler shud do something 1st.....he himself in patches go for plenty of runs

And we struggling to put runs on board

5th bowler is always underused.....having one extra wnt make diff

That's an added benefit if you come from Delhi and besides he did try out Karthik first ahead of Pant.

I'm not being Harsh on Vihari.
I am just saying dropping Pandya for him was just clueless IMO.

Nair is bad I agree

Shaw is from Mumbai.
I think if Shaw can sign with Bunty+colour his hair and get some tattoo, I believe he can get a shot.

We need to make do with what we have. Umesh has shown he can take wickets when the ball is reversing during the second innings of the first test, although Kohli was late to utilise him.

The fifth blower will make a lot of difference with the runs scored by the opposition.

Going through the motions out there. Kohli already given up and off the field with Rahane now the captain.
Rahane Captain>>>Kohli Captain

Kohli is honestly reminding me of the Chairman of Our school's Fest committee.
This guy was the son of my school's vice principal (Nepotism Rocks).
He used to love hanging around with the tags of Prefect, Fest Committee chairperson
And when the time came to actually do the work, he handed it all to us, the other committee members and run off.

Kohli loves hanging around with the tag captain but hates taking the responsibility.
I now totally understand why some Team members are supposedly angry with him

No yaar, dorping or resting pandya is not clueless considering a fact that this is a dead rubber, we have Asia cup and a game against Pakistan coming up, and pandya is crucial for the success of it.

So i would say a well deserved rest and a wise decision.

Pant has been brilliant behind the stumps in last 2 games...he is a speacilist keeper ...what catches have pant dropped

Are u sure u hve seen pant keep, coz m sure u have mistakenly seen parthiv patel keepiing

There were drops here and there, notably Buttler off Bumrah (who went on to get a century - luckily, match was won regardless, but you can imagine the importance in a closer match).

Also, the extras he conceded were about half the margin of defeat ...

Which match?
3rd wala aur 4th ?
That said, Saha is our best Keeper.
We missed him on this tour.

Atleast with Jadeja we get  good fielder, fatso isnt even good at that.

jaddo has already saved 6 runs and in a test , he saves at least 20 runs which ashwin wont..so jaddu is way ahead in fielding.

in bowling ash is ahead

Jadeja might end up getting 5 wickets but mannn his bowling is so boring to watch. Ashwin can be crap but when it is his day it will be beautiful sight. The drift and dip he gets and the way he sets up batsmen..

century by KL rahul or Dhawan now..as its a flat pitch.

england has created a PAKKA FLAT PITCH..england will score 500 and india will also score big.

boring test pitch created as england was not interested to make this into a 3-2 score line.

they will take 3-1 happily.

our batsman messed up else we would have won or drawn this series.
