AB de Villiers Will Play for RCB, Confirms Franchise

Recommended Posts

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has confirmed their talisman batsman AB de Villiers will play for them in the next season of IPL 2019. The South African linchpin had called time on his International career in May, which had sent shocking waves in the world. However, de Villiers was keen to play for his domestic team, Titans.

AB de Villiers had also confirmed that he will be available to play in different leagues across the globe. In fact, AB de Villiers is one of most pivotal players of the Bangalore franchise and holds a key to their success.

In the near future, he will be seen as a non-playing Ambassador of T20X tournament in UAE taking place in December. As De Villiers stated, he will continue to feature in various T20 leagues across the world including Indian Premier League(IPL) and the South African domestic league

Various sources predicted that AB would replace Brendon Mccullum as skipper of Lahore Qalandars.

Though no confirmation to such rumours has come from AB de Villiers's side.

If reports from Karnataka Suvarna News and News18 are to be believed, AB de Villiers is all in likeliness to captain the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the next season of the IPL. It is said that this mammoth decision has been taken citing Kohli’s poor record as a captain in the tourney.

Lol ABD is another joker of a captain. .
He's not even a poor man's Dhoni.
Better opt for Brandon McCullum

Good decision to remove Kohli but not sure ABD is a good replacement. I guess they went with him because of his box office appeal. I wonder how this will impact Kohli in this ongoing match and afterwards.

Surprised that you or your uncle or your friend working in Global Headquarters did not receive this news though.

No I didn't hear any talk about firing Kohli from RCB as for now.

What I did hear (back when IPL ended LOL) that the owners were crazy angry on Kohli that he took extra 2 crores for retention yet was unable to win the trophy.
Especially given that KL rahul whom they were unable to retain because of Kohli's extravagance, was performing really well for KXIP.
So I'm not really surprised that They're willing to Fire Kohli from Captaincy.

Kohli actually runs the cricketing affairs of RCB while the other support stuff ar naam ke.
He is/was planning to buy the franchise after his retirement along with Anushka.

And no -my friend's uncle doesn't work in Global HQ.
He works for the marketing Department of a Channel
