Feel sorry for Nair

Played the whole summer in England, waited for a chance. When there was, he lost it to a youngster. Tad unfair! The ironical 300 looks like a curse to him.

Not tad but extremely unfair. Kohli and Shastri represent everything wrong that happens when power is concentrated in the hands of too few a people.

Unfair yes, but for the benefit of the team. Nair is a mediocre bat, who got exposed against pace at home itself. He shouldn't have been in the squad in the first place along with Shradul. Now imagine Siraj getting selected for the last two tests and playing in this test ahead of Shradul, who was in the squad for the whole tour. Would you have still felt sorry for mediocre Thakur?

Siraj does deserve a chance but Nair has been selected and he should have been given an opportunity.

one series to unfair to judge someone...let him play n then pass or fail

specially when rohit n dhawan have gotten so many chances, whats dhawan done to hold a place ...2 tours of SA n ENG not even a single 50.....Rohit kept failing and yet kept his pace so nair wud feel harddone

Thakur hasnt even debut, nair has a 300 in test cricket

NAIR >> Rahane.

Anyone who can score a triple and that too very quickly deserves to be in the playing 11 whether he is technically deficient or not. He plays spin very well so should be in the team just for that. Might be a sitting duck against genuine swing and fast bowling, but who isn't nowadays?

Gavaskar slams Team management. A lot of ex-players are also criticizing.

Quote

"How many Indians have got triple hundreds? Virender Sehwag twice and Karun Nair once. You don't give that man an opportunity. So what are you trying to tell him? 'Look we don't think you are a good player?'

"All the best to Hanuma Vihari. I really wish him well. Karun Nair has every right to ask the team management what he has done wrong. He deserves an answer. 'Why am I not picked?' If you are going to pick an extra batsman, which they should have done from the first Test itself, and if you haven't given him the opportunity, he deserves an answer."

Nair's exclusion was reminiscent of Ajinkya Rahane, who spent a lot of time on the bench in Australia in 2011-12 but couldn't find a place in a line-up that included Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. When Dravid and Laxman retired for the subsequent home season, Yuvraj Singh was picked for the England series. And when Yuvraj was dropped, Rahane would have hoped to play in the fourth Test in Nagpur, but India gave a debut to allrounder Ravindra Jadeja in that match.

If anyone of them wud have scored here u wud have knwn that this guy can score in tough condition so he shud be invested in

Dhawan would then say what has Rahul done and why does he get selected over me.You can argue for anything and everything.

Ill tell what rahul has done Rahul atleast has made runs in Aus n WI ....rahul is in his 1st cycle of overseas condition and dhawan 2nd

so dhawan shud has gotten more chance, he shud be the last person asking a question

Rahul has even scored runs at home against Aus when it was really tough , dhawan failed agianst Sa at home to

^^ I said he failed against Eng Lions. He fared better against weaker teams like WI A.

Since Vihari did not play that game, we don't know how he would have fared.

In place of whom he should have been given a chance. Vihari has been selected for his bowling too.

In my opinion he is way ahead of Vihari. This is Kohli being stubborn or stupid or both.
