coffee_rules
Forget Dhoni, he's the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a 100 in SENA! Eating crow. His byes are still a problem, but if he bats like this more responsibly he can replace Saha. Edited September 11, 2018 by coffee_rules Clarke, beetle and UrmiSinhaRay 1 2 Link to comment

Yeah there were a couple instances apart from the dropped catch where he should have stopped. But overall he's some who needs to be invested in long term. Otherwise we will have revolving door of pappus and dks. Edited September 11, 2018 by Laaloo Suhaan, Mosher, UrmiSinhaRay and 2 others 2 3 Link to comment

His byes are still a problem, but if he bats like this more responsibly he can replace Saha. Most of those byes were either due to the ball swinging after passing the stumps and becoming unreachable or by unreachable wide balls by bowlers. Two 4s were due to poor keeping. Pant's agility is very good as a keeper ... but needs to improve his footwork and anticipation against pacers, especially when ball is moving. His keeping has looked good against spinners so far. And is good against high bouncing balls. That bodes well for games in Asia, Australia and SA. Suhaan, UrmiSinhaRay, raki05 and 4 others 3 4 Link to comment

I think he needs to cut down on pre meditating the lines or delay a bit since his reflexes are fine. beetle, UrmiSinhaRay, express bowling and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment

beetle
His keeping against pacers was fine. It is his first tour here where the ball moves so much. Most byes were wides in a fair world. His keeping against jadeja in first innings was very ordinary...second was okay. Needs to move faster on his feet more than diving . I hope he improves his keeping fast. I think this innings must have soothed his nerves in front of the wicket . UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
