I was batting well in England but wasn’t getting runs: Shikhar Dhawan

“It wasn’t a question of form, I was batting well but wasn’t getting runs. Great to get runs also. We have won so many series in the last four years and we have also lost some. We are humans. The concern should not be such that everything else, all the good results are forgotten.

Some failures should not overshadow all the wins. Just look at (Ambati) Rayudu, he was so good, and he was playing after such a long time. So, it’s good,” Dhawan was quoted as saying in Times Now.

After India put on 285 runs for the loss of seven wickets, the likes of Anshuman Rath and Nizakat Khan put on 174 runs for the first wicket and kept India at bay. The pacers, especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur strained to find their feet. In the meantime, Dhawan also backed them and admitted that India didn’t expect Rath and Nizakat to build such a stand.

“We didn’t expect for them to score 170-run partnership but they played well. We could have been more consistent in our bowling but we have to give credit to their batsmen, the openers played well. They were calculative, have to appreciate that.

There wasn’t much swing or seam in the wicket and our bowlers were coming after a break. It takes time to get into the rhythm as well. Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) was coming back after a break and Shardul (Thakur) hadn’t played much in England,” he added.

he is not wrong.  he did look good in some of the innings like first test ist innings, we had a partnership of 50 and there were some either innings where he did look good for more but could not.
It's worse he gets out after being settled.More than technique he lacks concentration.

You are right Mr.Dhawan you were not out of form. The problem with you Mr Dhawan is you are not suited to play test cricket in SENA countries. You have no footwork or technique to survive even minimal movement.

It is not your fault you had to play test cricket in England and SA, it is our misfortune that our selectors have no clue to indentify proper players.

You keep twirling your moustache away with gay abandon.:phehe:

yes, he does not belong to that level.  Irrespective of how good you are batting in those conditions, slight hiccup in your concentration and you are gone.  You can get away with that in SC conditions.

Wo to bolega hi....what do you expect him to say my legs start shaking when ball starts to swing.

Even yuvraj will not admit today that his test career is over.

yes shame less  moron ....... what you said is just like 'ordinary guys claiming that they too are scoring runs in their  near by local cricket matches'. So what is the difference ?' .

And we know that shameless parasites like you  won't go voluntarily. After all it would be very convenient  to keep on  earning crores at the expense of  extreme  disappointments of millions and millions of cricket fans across the country.Isn't it??? Naturally, hope some sensible officials kick you out of the test team for ever for good.

If selectors with a little more sense  worked with  the team, you wouldn't be in the one day team either  because it is only a matter of basic common sense to know that there are  lots of promising youngsters coming up  and there would definitely be a few of them at least who can  be those multidimensional all format batsmen at least nearer to Kohli in  over all calibre and hence hacks like you can be ruthlessly kicked out.

This loser is angling for a ticket to Australia.

He feels that scoring cheap runs in Asia cup would help him retain his slot for tests against West Indies against whom he's certain to score big.

The frightening part? Kohli and selectors will ACTUALLY endorse this line of thought.

when will our selectors realize  this simple fact that if a certain Kohli can come out  from this system, they can trace out at least a few more( if not other 5 of them)  of  'very close in calibre to Kohli'  batsmen for the top 6  from the same  system itself???  Sick of coming across  these shame less moron parasite hacks barking out loudly  despite earning crores and crores  at the expense of  very important series  losses.
