Looking at the people in India ... the interest that was there in the 1990s and 2000s, in the India Pakistan cricket matches, seem to be largely gone. Mohammed Amir is the only known Pakistani player among the general public. I asked a few people who the Pakistani captain was and most did not know. Only the World Cups make the general public interested in these matches these days. The India England test series, especially the 3rd test win, drew a lot more public interest than this Asia Cup.
