If Yuvi makes a comeback based on performances in:

• Natwest 2002 
• T20 WC 2007
• WC 2011
• Dhoni's belief that Ind cannot win a major tournament w/o Yuvi 

 

All Yuvi needs to do to get on the plane to Eng is give a good performance in IPL 2019. And he is already training for it based on one of the threads here 

 

Likely 11

 

• Rohit
• Dhawan
• Kohli
• Yuvi (as discussed above) 
• Dhoni (not going anywhere till WC2019)
• Raina / Jadhav (depending up on IPL form. One good spell would be enough to justify their place as batsmen who can bowl a few overs)
• Bhajji (Kuldeep and Chahal are likely to be inconsistent with so many LOIs being played. Which will provide an excellent opportunity to selectors to draft Bhajji in based on a decent IPL performance which would include a few good overs and some 6s hit) 
• Jadeja (based on his performance in the last test in Eng and on turners vs WI)
• Bhuvi (The belief that in Eng he would do well)
• Kaul / Chahar / Thakur (what is an 11 w/o a trundler, someone who can swing and take the pace off the ball)
• Bumrah

yuvi n raina- m not counting out that but they are struggling in domestic n IPL to now

He will.   VVS Laxman was talking about his certainty in this team as if he were Bradman.

 

But something must be done about those 3 young pacers.  Nehra retiring has made things worse.  He played the last Asia Cup in 2016 and lent teeth to the attack.

 

Praveen Kumar is still playing.  If the opposition can't identify him as a pacer from the speed of his deliveries then he must try a longer run-up and a handle-bar moustache or something. 

 

Then there is Munaf Patel.  Real age must be around 40.    Perfect for this team   !

Age and experience are everything  !

 

Only Wasim Jaffer can replace Rayudu.

 

All the others who could are either retired or  dead.

I agree .... a trundler but has a really good slow one that would make most spinners proud ....  bowls with variety and accuracy .... can also bowl slow bouncers .... what more could we ask for!

Rayudu will be in the squad if not in the 11 per the criteria implied in the OP. As he is a world class performer in big tourneys as shown by his performance for CSK in recent IPL. Can play both spin and pace well, and under pressure

 

Guys like Rahul are hit or miss, but Rayudu struggles to hit so cannot miss, ensuring that he does not give his wkt cheaply. Bowlers have to beat him 10 times before picking up his wkt

 

Also when in the squad, Rayudu prepares delicious Biryani which provides the right amount of nourishment to the players to recoup their energy levels .... In fact, per my friend's uncle, Rayudu' Biryani is often compared with Popeye's spinach:

virat has no patience 

If he thinks rohit is the best test player, let him fail in 2 games he ll think the opposite 

If he think rahul is to good a player to sit out, he fails in 3 games he will not find a place in squad

Here is the WC2019 15 member squad, subject to decent performances in IPL:

 

• Batsmen: Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli, Yuvi, Dhoni, Raina/Jadhav, Rayudu, and Karthik (reserve WK as well). Karthik's wife was disappointed on the last tour of Eng as their trips to continental Europe were constantly interrupted by the pretense of practise sessions  
• Spinners: Bhajji and Jadeja (both can bat to give you those 20s and skid the ball at the correct angle as required in Eng). And we have Yuvi and Raina/Jadhav, who can bowl spin too 
• Pace Bowlers: Bumrah, Bhuvi (can get 10-15 runs as well), Kaul, Thakur and Chahar 

 

We can't go wrong with the raging bulls above who are going to hit the opponents like never seen before .... Those who want Rahul, Pant, Hardik, Krunal, Khaleel, Kuldeep, etc., in the squad, please check back after the WC2019

Dhoni Chaha used to take on Mitchell Johnson's bouncers on his body & he was 45+ already back then.
