GolGappe
Yup, Thakur doesn't look international class. Barring a catastrophe in first test, I'd go with: Shami, Siraj, Ashwin, Jadeja in first test Umesh, Siraj, Kuldeep, Jadeja/Ashwin in second test. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

YCCC
Doesn't even look like Sky are showing this. When it's the English off season and the only other cricket is SA v Zimbabwe which they are showing. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
anish2tweet
Saha still unfit?Probably not but we need to persist with Pant for some more tests to see how he is faring.in India 1wk is enoughSent from my CPH1819 using Tapatalk UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
anish2tweet
Shardul can be in the squad whilst the rest of the promising bowlers can get good match practice playing domestic cricket. Don't see a problem as he's not starting clearly. Not a problem with this squad. Happy that Dhawan is dropped. Sorry for Karun Nair though. He did not get even a game in SA and EnglandSent from my CPH1819 using Tapatalk UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

The Dark Horse
On topic, good squad. Perhaps what Rahul said was true about the management given roles. Rahul is the backup opener in ODIs and Dhawan is the backup in tests (Second in line after Rahul). UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

rtmohanlal
Karun Nair again neglected . A person with a triple 100 omitted and Mayank agarwal is selected. Sure case of nepotism because Karun is of Kerala origin. Link to comment

Lannister
lol... I am shocked to see such a good Test squad. Are the selectors all right? Positives: * Agarwal being finally rewarded for his hardwork and consistency. * Siraj: Need I say more. The current most exciting talent. * Umesh: I am glad they decided to stick with him as he didn't get enough chance in England. * Shaw: Let's see what this kid is made of. Negatives: * Thakur: There should be an investigation as to why this mediocre player keeps on getting selected. * Nair: Poor management of this player. FFS he has scored 300 in Test cricket. Show some respect. DHONI_FANN, GolGappe, sandsaims and 4 others 2 5 Link to comment
Switchblade
Quote “Taking stock of the recent workload, the selectors have decided to rest Jasprit Bumrahand Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Both Ishant Sharma and Hardik Pandya were not considered for selection as they are yet to recover from their injuries,” Amitabh Choudhary, acting secretary of the BCCI said after naming the team. zen and tweaker 2 Link to comment

Congrats @Lannister bhai . I am guessing Agarwal will debut ahead of Shaw thanks to his 90 today. Good to see Kuldeep back too. Trundul is the only poor selection. While Mayank , Bawne, Vihari have piled up loads of runs , this fellow being kaptaan performs very average . That is telling who is currently in top form.
