“The Kookaburra white ball doesn’t swing much nowadays and you can’t feel the seam much as well. Right now I would say Kookaburra red ball is a lot better ball, Dukes is also right up there. Pretty disappointed with the current SG ball. It used to be top-notch, the seam used to stand up strong even after 70-80 overs. Not the same anymore,” Ravi Ashwin said after the game.

 

However, the Indian spinners have fared decently well in the game. While Ashwin picked four wickets in the first innings, he followed it up by picking two in the second. Ravindra Jadeja, the other spinner in the side picked up four wickets in the match.

 

The left-arm chinaman, Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers in the second innings as he picked his maiden five-wicket haul. The spinners have picked 16 out of the 20 scalps in the game.
