How many people here have been to Manchester Airport? I must say that the place is a hell on earth, I mean its so pathetic I dont even know how the hell does it qualify as an international airport and why does A380 operates there. The only airport worse than that is Edinburgh's.

What is wrong with Edinburgh airport?

Could be a lot worse ...it could be in India :phehe:

Indian airports blow most other airports out of the water. Maybe you should try visiting and appreciating the architecture before talking out of your ass. The restrooms are clean as well and most airports have good routes now to direct traffic. Something you cant find in the US or the land you're from. And not to forget Indian pilots are also very good compared to their counterparts. I fly frequently here in the states and it's always an uneasy experience.

FYI information I do fly into India and internal flytes .

So yes I have been in the aircraft hanger called Ahmedabad Airport. Stood in immigration queue at Mumbai for 3 hrs, Dodged every crook rying to get you in a" taxi" at Bangalore , Chennai .

As it was a comment against a Scottish airport I am not interested in American airports .

You know what , I am tired you talking out of  their ass and thinking they know it all  when you know nothing .

I find your observations rather strange.

I've never had to wait for 3 hours in an immigration line in Mumbai. The process has always been smooth, even from the days before the T2 was commissioned.. The maximum I would have waited would be 10-15 minutes.

Back in the day, ie, before the liberalization of the Indian economy, when socialism was in vogue, there was a lot of waiting involved. But that too was centered around the Customs. The reason being that most foreign 'luxury' items had huge import duties in India. My elders tell me that it was assessment and settlement right at the customs counter at the airport and an average waiting time of 10-15 mins per passenger. This is not inclusive of the haggling that most Indians engage in. :p

Ahmedabad Airport is hardly a hangar. In fact the layout is aesthetically appeasing. Probably the best part about an otherwise drab city. And inter terminal travel is efficient and the staff is friendly, which is uncharacteristic of Airport staff anywhere.

At Chennai and Bangalore, and most Indian airports you can always book a prepaid cab.

Indian airports are, by and large, better than most of their Western counterparts. Many of them are recently commissioned or have annexes inaugurated in the recent past. That works in favour of the Indian airports. Better ergonomic design. Better baggage handling. Better sense of service. And probably even more secure.

One of the worst Airports I've been to is the monstrosity that is CDG in Paris. Callous officials, announcements only in French in certain areas, too much walking involved, no ATMs in certain stretches, and over priced buses to ferry you around between terminals.

Seems like you're the one talking out of your ass. There are longer immigrant lines than the ones in Mumbai. Most airports in England are a dump compared to CST airport.

Sorry to disappoint but yes I have waited 3 hrs , myself and hundreds of others.

I am well aware of pre paid cabs but don't require them or a non booked taxi but that doesn't mean that every passenger is bombarded outside by con men trying to get passengers into cars .

We have different views what is aethsetically pleading with its dearth of shops cafes and duty free and what there is are hardly ever open .

I do agree however in security as I once counted at Mumbai on 14 checks from entrance to boarding
