Selection committee is way too inexperienced - Kirmani

This is like a saying in Kannada. ...Mangan kaili maanikya..tranlating loosely to Monkey with pearls. Too much power given to incompetent people. Ravi Shastri in his infinite wisdom gets  a selection committee way too young to argue back. Kohli can push his way through too. No wonder his yaars get so many chances.

A look at their experience. They will be like.."Sir..Sir..No Sir..Yes Saar"

Monkeys with pearls.  LMAO.

I hope he understands that there is a real selection comittee behind those on paper which is the bambi mafia lobby - Tendulkar, Gavaskar, Agarkar, Manjrekar, Vengsarkar making most of the decisions

Did you have a crush on a girl who you thought was 'yours' until a Bombay boy charmed his way into her pants?

hi man ..... what is your problem????? blaming 'bambi'  for each and every thing..... Kohli is from Delhi... He is acting  as per his own

powers  and hence is becoming not at all impartial or rational in his choices. So do you put the blame for  that also on 'bambi' ???

Kohli is working hand in hand with SHastri

Sahshtri was appointed mainly because of bambi mafia lobby aka Tendulkar

Connect the dots....

If so  Shastri would have lot lot more powers than Virat. But as it appears, Shastri  is just a cheer leader who sings glory songs of Virat and nothing else. And this is not how a mafia operates for your simple knowledge..

Nair did well to speak out about this blatant nepotism. What's the purpose of the selectors if team management refuses to give opportunities to the players? Shastri is the main reason behind it, with his clear backing to Mumbai based players. It seems he wanted Rohit in place of Nair for England tour.

There's one more ass whooping waiting for these guys in Australia.

Nair was a favourite of Kumble - no wonder he was thrown out.

Did your uncle tell you that? Nair was kicked out because of a love triangle, he couldn't decide between the two and ultimately paid the price. Virat felt be littled that Nair loved his bats more then he loved Anushka so out he went?

Team selection is the prerogative of the skipper... coach or a travelling selector should only give inputs based on conditions or form of the players.

Can't believe that bewada selects the team ahead of Kohli when kumble too did not have such power. Maybe  travelling selector with voting rights might actually act as a counter to the captain/ coach.

Captain will not be knowing much about the new players, so it's obviously falls on the coach and the selectors, as that is their job to make sure that right players will get an opportunity. The article clearly mentions that team management was not happy with the squad selection, so they had their own preference, clearly not based on merit-based selections. The selectors gave in to that, and dropped Nair from the squad, as they are not powerful enough to question the team management led by Shastri.  In the meantime, the team performance is suffering.
