  1. 1. Keeping world cup in mind, should IPL 2019 be called off?

It should be either cancelled or players like Kohli should skip most of the matches. International teams should also ask franchises to manage the workload of their players. If I were Rabada, Starc, Boult, Southee. I would skip this tournament

They won’t cancel as it’s a billion dollar deal every year so Bcci won’t cancel it.

It is possible, don't know of others but west indies players will be available for sure and others should adjust if they don't wanna misssout, it will be absolutely ridiculous if we loose bumrah or bhuvi through injury right before world cup.

Australia will be playing against some one and so and so don’t think any player will skip national commitment to play Ipl this was the best window Bcci had so they are scheduling it in March.

Even in the last edition we had so many star players like rabada, starc, smith warner etc. Missing but it still turned out a hit, IPL is not star or player dependent anymore.

India itself will be having international commitments during August September then home series against South Africa so Bcci won’t be able to stage it during that time.

Dont cancel it ,best way is to shorten the tournament and play only 1 leg i.e Each team plays the other only once ,since the tournament will be played away from India anyway so the concept of home and away matches for each franchisee goes out of the window .

But this is bcci, who am I kidding lol

Franchise suffer losses due to that.

Itna to karna hi padega agar wc jeetna hai to and this act can only be done by bcci against the will of the franchises .this is a once in a blue moon situation because such situation of a world cup happening after the ipl will hardly occur

World cup is more important and so is IPL and so is players fitness than bccis commitments.

Lessening it or scaling or canceling it is not a solution, any of the above means franchises will suffer a loss.

That's why Sachin chamchas are still bitter about MSD almost 10 years later

Lol why would we be bitter? We kicked your asses twice even when your mama was fixing games. And then for good measure, we followed where the losers like thalaiava went and beat his ass again in 2016 :hysterical: even when you were banned we didn't spare you...

Will be interesting to listen our captain's view on this. He is normally pretty vocal these days about work load management, proper rest before a big tournament etc.

Lets see if he has the same view for mighty IPL or those antics are reserved only for Asia cup / other international games. :nice:

Let us see if he has the balls to skip this years IPL instead of portraying his displeasure. That alone will send out a very strong message. If the leader does it, minions will surely follow. BCCI will think twice before setting up this kind of BS schedule. No IPL trophy > ICC World Cup. Ain't no one gonna remember which IPL captain won the cup, but till this day, kapil dev is still remembered by even us who never witnessed him play because he won the cup.
