putrevus
This guy has been amazing, he was the difference between India drawing England series versus the drubbing we got there. Unlike our guy this guy scores when his team needs runs.He is very underrated than our overrated guy who other than his fluke 90 rarely shows up when his team needs his runs. He is just 20 and he has so much more potential. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk UrmiSinhaRay, Switchblade, Global.Baba and 2 others 1 4 Link to comment

rkt.india
he will eventually become a batsman and will bat in top 6. CoverDrive and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment
S_pace
A better lower middle order batsman than a bowler. Suhaan and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment
Nikola
Was surely biggest difference between both side during Ind vs Eng series. He played bigger role for england than what virat did for india i guess. raki05 and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

Suhaan
His utility stays with him if stays as bowling allrounder, the moment he moulds himself into a batting allrounder,i dont think he will b that effective as now Teams are unaware of his weaknesses just makes him fly under the radar, but have to give credit where its due, marvellous nevada, Vk1 and UrmiSinhaRay 1 2 Link to comment

Those were great batting conditions with the pressure off with a substantial lead. All of Curran’s innings came in back to the wall situations. What's the basis of this technique comment.I mean he has not shown any so far and he averages early 30 in First class ckt Today Rashid was outscoring Curran at one point and Curran iirc was 10 of 40- 50 balls, so there is more to his game than just counter attack raki05 1 Link to comment
Vilander
Curran was the difference between Eng loosing 3-1 and winning 4-1. Major impact player for England. Back against the wall but not playing for draw counter attacks..as a bowling alrounder this is unbelievable skill exhibition. sandeep 1 Link to comment

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Let's see how Sam Curran does when he comes to India. Odds are he won't even make the XI due to his bowling being rendered toothless. Full credit to Curran, he put up some legit quality performances against the #1 test team in cricket. But he was playing at home. Pandya also has stud performances with the bat in home conditions - India & SL. And Pandya's 5-fer notwithstanding, he's nowhere near as effective with the ball as Curran was in English conditions. I'm sure you can find videos of him playing a straight drive or cover drive and see for yourself. He's got a decent enough technique. But is inexperienced. I just hope he doesn't end up going the Jadeja route with the bat - Jadeja wasted 3-4 years before he figured out what his effective batting method was - in terms of shot selection. Because a Jaddu can afford to do that and still be in the team based on his bowing. Pandya needs to basically hold a place down as #6 batsman. The bar is a lot higher. Link to comment

That is because England doesn’t have to “force” a guy to play in the team as an allrounder just for the sake of it. They have Stokes,Woakes and Ali. In fact they have a totally opposite problem. Too many allrounders than specialists. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Woakes is poor mans' Bhuvi who gets to play bulk of his cricket in helpful conditions. I'd rather have either of Ash or Jaddu over Ali anyday. Stokes & Pandya? :) That reminds me our little "meet cute" here on ICF. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Neither in terms of conditions, nor in terms of quality of opposition. If Pandya goes and scores a test doubleton in Zimbabwe, does that mean he is a sure bet to do so in SA?
