If England win tomorrow, they will have series wins in Ind, Aus, SA, SL and Bangladesh this decade

2012 series win was a black spot on Indian cricket.

Our team was in transition, gambhir, viru, tendu were finished, rest were newcomers. Our strike bowler was pragyan ojha.

Historically India is the strongest and most difficult home team.We have only suffered 5 home series defeats in last 50 odd years.Since the 70s when we started being a non-minnow cricket nation we have only lost  to -

Lloyd's West Indies(1983)

Khan'sPakistan(1987)

Cronje's South Africa(1997)

Ponting/Gilchrists' Aus(2004)

England(2012)

Even 2004 could well have been a draw if not for -

1.Tendulkar missed half the series and was crippled with tennis elbow

2.2nd test when we were poised to win got washed out.

3.3rd test green pitch was served due to internal board problems and ganguly, bhajji sat out.

After this win, England would move to the 2nd place in the ICC test ranking.  (Still 10 points behind us though).      This is by far the best English side after the departure of former greats like Peterson, Swann etc.

No they are not the best English side, just lost Ashes last year and will be beaten black n blue if they tour India.

Can't blame Dhoni there, anyone else would have done the same. Credit to England, Cook always played spin well, Swann was a great spinner and Monty was their Jadeja, quick left arm spin and extracted good turn from the wickets. They outplayed us, that's all.
