We won the game in which we committed fewer mistakes. We were at par with the other team throughout. “I think we have the ability to keep competing with the other team and in test cricket whichever team makes fewer mistakes wins the game. That’s the general rule.” Kohli felt India, who lost 2-0 in their previous four-match series in Australia in 2014-15, would still need to be at their best to succeed. “We played good cricket last time but we were not able to win games, so this time around we obviously want to change that,” he said. “We definitely believe we have the quality to do so but it will boil down to how we think in each moment in every test match that we play or every game that we play on this tour. “As a whole, throughout the tour we want to do the little things right and have our focus really precise so that we can win more situations than the opposition.” UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
Global.Baba
Players will be niggled and mistakes will still be made. Axis of evil will not learn anything, marky my words. Sometimes don’t even think that Kohli and Shastri’s brains and mouth in these press conferences are in synch nevada, Khota, raki05 and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
rtmohanlal
Now that you are going to play only 1 practice match in AUS, don't come up with further excuses if you bottle this oppertunity too UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
Khota
The biggest mistake is to persist with Kohli as a captain in all the formats. UrmiSinhaRay, nevada and raki05 1 2 Link to comment
Nikola
So quality wasn't there on England tour? and what mistakes did you learn? only change i see is rohit coming back to test side and that increase quality of test team? raki05, UrmiSinhaRay and Switchblade 1 1 1 Link to comment
putrevus
India winning a four or five test series in SENA countries is going to be very very difficult. They don't have batsmen who are capable of being consistent for whole series and their bowlers cannot limit damages. We have guy like Rahane who wants to bask in glory of his stupid 48 in SA that too after stinking for whole series in England. This guy is the vice captain of the team. What can you expect from this team. SK_IH, Frustrated, Switchblade and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment

Depends on how batsmen go against their bowlers. If they are able to put okish scores our bowlers will win the games and the series. If batsmen score single digits then its an other white wash in the offing. Need 300 plus score from batsmen and the series is Indias. Switchblade and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

Tibarn
IMO, If we win some more tosses that series, people would have a different view of the team and would see their quality more along the lines of what it actually is. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
Lannister
Yeah right. Like how you rectified your mistakes from SA tour in England. UrmiSinhaRay and Switchblade 1 1 Link to comment

I can't understand how they can collectively stink match match! The bowlers set up the game beautifully time and again but the batters didn't grab the chance. Even Kohli went AWOL in two chases which ended up costing us the series. In theory, this batting line up should do better in Australia due to absence of English like swing. Let's see what happens, this series is last chance saloon for team India. No amount of hastily arranged, meaningless bilateral series against the likes of SL, WI etc can repair the damage to this team's credibility if we end up losing this upcoming series.
