Many folks do not watch old films as the films suffer from bad quality prints which makes the viewing experience not optimal. Therefore, I would recommend watching restored version by companies such as Criterion. Many of the blue rays are re-mastered in 2k-4k, giving new life to the movies. Many of the presentations look stunning as illustrated below:

M and L'Avventura are great films. I think Foreign Correspondent is a bit too propagandistic and the plot feels far-fetched. But masterful direction from Hitch as always.
