fineleg
Per Cricinfo: "Sri Lanka must now win both their remaining CB Series games and rely on Australia beating India to have any chance of reaching the finals" What are the other permutationz/combinationz? Link to comment
S.R.Tendulkar
Yea, I think SL still have chances of getting into the finals, but lot of things have to go their way. No doubt their back is against the wall, but hey I've seen crazier results than this. So lets just hope Ind beats Aus tommorrow and seals the deal. Link to comment
Bumper
Aus will beat India. Thats almost a given. SL will have to beat India convincingly (earn a bonus pt) & pray for rain at MCG when they meet Australia next. Link to comment

fineleg
Ticz, Our batsmen need to make runz against Aus to do this. They are folding like a pack of cardz against Bracken, Johnson, Hopes, (and if at all B.Lee showz up!!!) Link to comment

For, now, this is the points table, Team Mat Won Lost Tied N/R Pts Australia 6 4 1 0 1 22 India 6 2 2 0 2 12 Sri Lanka 6 1 4 0 1 6 And these are the remaining fixtures, Sun 24 Floodlit Match 14:15 local, 03:15 GMT 10th Match - Australia v India Sydney Cricket Ground Tue 26 10:00 local, 23:00 GMT 11th Match - India v Sri Lanka Bellerive Oval, Hobart Fri 29 Floodlit Match 14:15 local, 03:15 GMT 12th Match - Australia v Sri Lanka IF India beat Aus, then Sri Lanka are out, irrespective of their results against India and Aus, in the last two matches of the league. IF SL loses to India on the 26th match, they're eliminated again. SL only way out is for them to either win both matches, or, hope Aus win its next match against Ind, win the following match and hope the last league match against Aus is ATLEAST a washout. The Good news for us is this, Fri Feb 29 Sunny 24°/12° 24°C Precipitation chance - 0% Link to comment

I think you can say the same for the Aussie batsmen, so its basically our bowling vs theirs, we've beaten them before, so why not do it again. Link to comment
coffee_rules
Outright 4 pt victories to SL and 2 losses to India will see them thru. I am sure that's what will happen. India will be out of this tournament. Link to comment

Guest whineleg
But what is predictable is that India will be trounced here. So much for thinking their bowling attack had figured out onedayers. Link to comment
DomainK
Playing like this, we would end up third on that table. Link to comment
