Didnt stonis n Maxwell won it for australia , they are all rounder

I will look them up but I see some progress in this discussion.

Can we assume Pandya's are not for this to move forward?

Going strictly by definition, we don't have all rounders. Definitely not by int'l standards anyway.

The problem with the jadejas ashwins and the pandya brothers (strictly in White ball cricket) is on their very best day they can be good on only one either batting or bowling. And that too the performances (both batting and bowling) are few and far between to even merit a discussion.

Case in point both Jadeja and Ashwin being dropped from the team because they're not good at either.

Pandya brothers will be around until someone comes to kick them out of the team just like how chahal/Kuldeep kicked out Ashwin and Jadeja.

These guys are hit and miss. It is epic waste of time to find someone who can do both.

Cut your losses and go for specialists.

The problem with this era of Indian batsmen is none of them can bowl and that is creating such a imbalance. You cannot expect Pandya to bowl 4 overs and expect good things from them on these pitches. He might work in subcontinent but not in Australia.

You had Sehwag, Sachin and Yuvi who would role their arms very well and Ganguly also could do his bit.Raina was another guy who could do 5 or 6 overs in sub continent.

What surprises me is that sfter watching so much t20 cricket in last 5-10 years, people still have audacity to come firing over a young player who got whipped when they have seen best of the best bowlers getting their @ss handed to them int his t20 format. Be it any top bowler in the world.

Yes Krunal won’t be a great bowler, might not even turn up as one, but for now he is being tried because he is a batsman who can bowl as he has done so for Bombay in IPL. Now if we don’t try such guys then who yiu want? Same some odnyou will come and say that captain is “jealous of players who perform in IPL” or things like “youngsters are not being tried enough by current management”.

Let it go for a second. His first outing in Aus. He bowled shyt, and thats fine. We need to move on. Can’t be criticizing him for that. Its t20.

Nobody is trying to pin the blame on Pandya. In the bigger picture this loss is not a big deal at all. Question is guy like Pandya who is batsmen who can bowl fit into the team.He will bat on his good days 8 to 10 balls in match. So unless he is a bowler who can bowl his 3 to 4 overs every match he is misfit for this team.

Indian team needs someone to bat at no 6-7 even in odis.

Dont know which one you are referring to.  Hardik won the tight match against bangladesh in WT20. If you are talking about krunal. He just played few matches. It will take time to mature for him to be international class.
